The keyboard has a range of LED options it can fit perfectly in an aesthetic set up of your choice. Has a clean metallic finish that reflects the light from the keys. The keyboard is very noisy but depending on what you like that may be a benefit for you, I personally like the noise the keys make sounds. The keys are firm I’ve used it for over a month or so of constant use and there has been no change in their functionality.Overall definitely recommend as a budget keyboard.

When I wanted to dip a toe into mechanical keyboards I found this was cheap enough to give it a go fully prepared to write it off as a failed experiment if I didn't like it so I picked up the red switch version as a "game friendly" keyboard.The first thing to say about this keyboard is I was absolutely blown away by the build quality, there is absolutely no flex in the board, as an extremely heavy typist I haven't felt something this solid since I first started using PCs typing on a Compaq Enhanced II back in the late 80s!Although I was very happy with the gaming performance of the red switches I did find that the keys were a little too sensitive for long typing sessions, occasionally inserting a rogue character when brushing against the character I was trying to type.Having also picked up a Royal Kludge RK61 with Blue switches around the same time I realised that the blues were much more suited to my typing style so picked up another one of these with the blues this time for my main machine and moved the red switch version to my gaming rig.Pros:Solid!Good lighting options, most of which can be configured straight on the board without loading the softwareSettings made in the software are remembered so once you're happy with it you don't need to load the software every time (Razer take note!)Cons:I miss the right hand side Windows Key, mostly for one handed locking of Windows with Win+L, I get that the function key needs to go somewhere with this sort of keyboard but I do wish there was a version with the function key as a separate key instead!Very occasionally the lights stay on when the PC goes to sleep, not ideal when it's in the bedroom and I'm trying to sleep. That said this may very well be an issue with my PC rather than the keyboard.The spacebar sounds a bit hollow, I've deadened mine slightly by stuffing some tissue paper into the hollow but I know there are better solutions out there. That said doping that has dampened it enough that I'm not bothered enough to hurry to do anything further for now.In summary I'm very happy with what I got for £30 and would have left just as good a review if this had been double that.

It’s hard to overstate how impressed I am with the quality of this keyboard. I had fully expected it to feel like a low price unit in comparison to the usual suspects at twice the cost. But nothing could be further from the truth. The “click” is just right and the travel of the keys is perfect for writing long essays and - well - amazon reviews like this.The frame is solid and has really good weight to it. No danger of sliding around here. I hadn’t expected to find much use for the RGB lighting, but it really does add to the overall feeling of quality. A minor gripe would be at maximum brightness you are aware of flickering in your peripheral vision, especially on White. Some of the flashing patterns feel a little gimmicky, and I can’t image they’re much use, but the ability to customise which keys are illuminated for different games is really impressive and very easy to configure, and the edge lighting again gives the unit a much higher quality feel than the unit price would suggest.Really good product. Delivered less than 24 hours after ordering. 8/10

I've bought a few cheap mechanical keyboards in the past. They have all failed to live up to expectations. This Aukey keyboard however, is simply a whole different league! I might even say good enough to compare against the more expensive keyboards out there.The build quality is excellent. It has a nice metal finish on the base, with a surround edge RGB strip light. This gives the keyboard a very premium feel.The keys are smooth to touch and don't feel like cheap plastic buttons, the letters on the keys actually light up! You can't believe the number of cheap RGB keyboards fail to achieve this.Then there is the RGB. I am very impressed by the amount of customisation on this keyboard. Most cheap RGB keyboards only give 2 or 3 choices when it comes to lighting options and colour zones. This keyboard my friends gives you them in bucket loads. The amount of combinations and preferences you can set on this keyboard is insane for the price. You can control the surround edge RGB on the base independently from the key colours. There are over 11 lighting effects for your keys to choose from, and you can combine that with a choice of several different colour options.Simply put - this probably the best keyboard i have ever owned. Tempted to buy another one !
