I try to not use plastic products especially during cooking. The steel quality is very good, I have used this and washed in dishwasher and did not rust. What the best about this product is the height of the product which allows this to be used for cake decorations too. I am a home baker who is still learning to decorate cakes. I always had issues with cake layering since cakes wont looked aligned. This is game changer, I cut both the layers with this and added frosting, it comes so well and clean, just like a bakery cake. I tried ice cream cake too, again the edges of cake are well formed and clean. The cake is well aligned. I say its not just used for mouse cake but you can use these for normal frosting cake leveling. Definitely takes the cake to next level

Amazing product to have when running a cake business. Can be adjusted to any size and can be used to allied the layers of the cake. The only disadvantage is the cleaning it.

I didn't get this to make a Charlotte or anything like that, but I'm sure it would do a great job. I got it to make icing my cakes easier. I wrapped a cake in acetate, and then use this ring to squeeze the piped on icing into place. It did that with ease. I would have given it five stars but I think the sliding and adjusting action could be a little easier. In fact, if I could give this 4.5 Stars instead of just four, I would.
