Small Electronic Guest Safe - Standard Security - Y-SS0000NFP

I work for a company where we keep a small amount of cash during the day and some of the staff were a little unsure about leaving it in an aluminium cash box with the key left in it! For the £35 I paid for it, it is a very sturdy box. Despite being described as a "Home Safe" it does the job fine for us and is particularly useful in an environment where 5 or 6 people need to have access, so they can all share a code rather than having to find individual keys. There are a couple pointers that aren't mentioned in the description. There are fixing bolts included in the box - 2 very long bolts and wallplugs to match. Personally I can't comment on them because I needed to fix it to a surface other than a wall (so I bought a couple nuts and bolts). The other thing, is that the override key switch is behind the "Yale" logo, which took me a couple minutes to figure out, it only saying "the plastic cover" on the instructions page. The cover is not particularly strong, considering you will need to open it if ever the batteries die on you. We haven't had it long enough to see a full battery cycle to know how long they last, but I'll update when we change them. With respect to security, it is made of sheet steel as opposed to solid metal, however I don't think this compromises the security of it because not only is it quite thick, but is very tough. I could easily get myself and a couple colleagues on top without damaging it! There is a pair of bolts, each about 10mm across, and contrary to what the description seems to suggest, you enter your code and then you have to turn a handle to open it. It's actually the mechanism that holds the bolts in place that is motorized rather than the bolts themselves. I don't see this as a problem though, and everyone is finding it easy to use and so far (*touch wood*) we have been without incident! A great safe for the price, well recommended! UPDATE 27/04/13: As promised, I am giving an update about battery life. They still haven't died! - Will they ever?.... UPDATE 25/07/13: Hmm... These batteries are invincible or the safe just uses very little juice! If I am still alive I will let you know when they run out! UPDATE 05/01/14: Still going strong... I think you get the idea by now

Great little safe, fixed to wall easily, big enough for storing money, passports etc, quite heavy and well made.

Good digital Safe. I purposely wanted a smaller safe so that it would fit in my wardrobe on the shelves. Set up was very easy with instructions provided. Those who can't see the red button there is a black cover as stating in the instructions. Maybe you may need glasses 🤓 I don't know. 🤣🤣 I like the fact you can store up to 2 codes and 3 to 8 digits although I wouldn't recommend 3 digits as it could be too easy to guess. This product actually arrived 2 days earlier than stated by DPD so very happy with delivery. Nothing bad to say about it. I used the sticker provided to stick on the inside of the door. This was just to remind myself regarding the programming of the safe should I loose the instructions. I would recommend using the fixings provided to bolt it to a wall! 2 keys are provided also which I'll keep hidden somewhere out of seight. Ideal for travel usage also, only small so don't expect to store a lot in it. Good for what it does Ignore the negative reviews on this, some people can just be too fussy over products. For what the product does why complain? Follow the instructions provided for set up it's easy.

Replacing a similar one that was bought the best part of 20 years ago, so I got my money's worth out of it. The LCD display had failed and the keypad lock was getting a sticky and I had to rely on the key back up, so I decided a new one was called for. Ideal for keeping important personal stuff in where you know where it is. We don't have priceless heirlooms to secure, so this is great. LCD keypad unlock is great. No need to find the key.

A very well made safe with two spare keys in case the battery goes flat, it was well packed, it was easy to set the digital no's you can vary the amount of no's you can programe. I inserted the 4 batteries that it came with by remooving the plastic door in the back of the safe door you then press the small button in the hinge side of the door programe you no's into the front just follow the instruction manual that it comes with its very good, it also came with two plastic wall plugs and two coach screws about 2in long, a peice of material to put on the base of the safe inside which will help protect any thing from damage. I think it will hold my tom tom, vechicle paperwork money, spare keys, it is very spacious so all of my valuables will be locked away in this fine safe, their are two sets of pre drilled holes two in the floor and two in the back of the safe so it can be well secured on two sides. This is a well made product I would recomend it to anyone.

Répond aux attentes. Pour ce type de produit, il faut absolument conserver le mode d'emploi. Ici, il était uniquement en anglais, ce qui ne me gène pas.

Personalemnte avevo bisogno di un dispositivo di sicurezza del genere utile a conservare e proteggere nel migliore dei modi alcuni oggetti preziosi oltre che documenti altamente importanti, a poco prezzo credo di aver preso un dispositivo che merita parecchio. Il design è il classico di una cassaforte a muro realizzata con un materiale altamente di qualità parliamo infatti di acciaio inox da 16mm che le permette di avere una buona protezione in caso di scasso o comunque tentativi di apertura, nel complesso l'intera cassa offre una sicurezza idonea la struttura è abbastanza solida. La cassaforte almeno nella mia scelta è di 36cm di larghezza e 23cm di altezza mentre la parte interna misura 32cm e 21cm di altezza, piuttosto grande ci si può mettere dentro molti oggetti preziosi e non. Essa si apre mediante chiave e non presenta alcun tipo di apparecchiatura elettronica ad esempio codice o combinazione, la serratura è meccanica classica ed offre al suo interno nonché in confezione due chiavi. L'installazione ovviamente se non si è pratici è meglio rivolgersi ad un professionista, personalmente questa l'ho voluta montare io personalemnte, per farlo ovviamente in primis ho dovuto fare il classico foro rettangolare a muro, ho voluto mettere quattro barre di ferro extra ai lati della stessa in modo da avere maggior sostegno e quindi maggiori difficoltà in caso si voglia rimuovere dal muro, in quanto con le barre risulta essere impossibile o quasi. Che dire al prezzo proposto come detto credo che difficilmente potevo trovare di meglio già montata posso dire che la qualità è piuttosto alta. Spero di esservi stato d'aiuto con la mia recensione.
