There are a number of books which I recommend when counselling someone who feels unhappy about being single; predominantly The Single Trap: The Two-Step Guide to Escaping it and Finding Lasting Love, written by a Relate counsellor, and Calling in the One: 7 Weeks to Attract the Love of Your Life, written by trained psychotherapist.Matthew Hussey's Get The Guy is a brilliant addition to my roster of recommendations and, more than that, it's hugely practical. It's a toolkit in a book.His approach is funny, insightful and spot-on. As an NLP Practitioner, I recognise the layers of research, both studied learnt by Matt's explorations first-hand.By being playful, addressing your environment (seeing opportunities to talk to people everywhere, so your general social skills are enhanced, and creating new dating opportunities seamlessly), habits and behaviours (a small, ordinary action taken regularly, to produce extraordinary results), at the heart is something way bigger than 'getting a guy'.The core of this book is this; value yourself. Build/reclaim your identity as a 'high-value' woman, with the kind of life and behaviours/talents equal to you, a high-value person.(Plus, this way, you'll stop putting those 'hot guys you can't talk to' up on a pedestal. Yes, you know the ones...)Your goal is to make a great life for yourself in lots of little ways, develop your facets, and have a great time whilst doing so. Create the life you want, rather than waiting to be rescued from it.And that has to be good advice, if you're looking to get a guy or not.

A guidance to understanding both the male mind and yourself.Mathew sure knows what he is talking about. In terms of confidence, this book did boost me up. I can hold a long gaze and conversation with just about anyone. See when you buy the book you are thinking MEN!!!! but he is telling you to think YOU and EVERYONE ELSE!He plays the psychology so well. Once you get acquainted with talking to just about anyone, and I mean everyone (boys, girls, babies, woman, men, cleaners, waiters, bus drivers, train drivers, barrier operators, receptionists, school; children, diner ladies, bankers, millionaires etc) striking a conversation with the hot guy you are looking for should be no problem.Personally, I used this book along with David Gray's book, "men are from mars and women are from venus" to get to understand myself more and improve on whats needed to be done before I start to conquer any man. Once you understand yourself you will get the male mind and connect with them more.Listen I could write a part II version of Mathew's book as feedback.So yeah buy the book if you want (miracles do not happen without working towards them, so do not expect everything you read to turn out exactly as it is, you have to do it your own way but using Mathew's advise as a guide) I recommend you so :)

Allora, premetto che il libro è in inglese però è molto scorrevole e facile da leggere. Matthew è divertente e da' dei suggerimenti o spunti di riflessione utili che anche dopo mesi torni volentieri a rileggere. Lo consiglio a tutte le ragazze anche non più giovanissime che stanno cercando una relazione.
