Ideal fishing lures
Just received my order of fishing lures, ahead of schedule and can't wait to get back out fishing. I look forward to seeing what they will bring in off the walk in Ballycotton Pier. Very good selection at a great price and so easy to order.

Good Selection
Excellent for the money - many different lures to chose - good value.

good selection of feathers
good selection of feathers all tied on very well and with good quality hooks. Had always thought that fladen products were mass produced as cheap as possible but I guess I was wrong.

Cheap and effective
Although they don't last more than few outings, this selection provides a good variety of effective lures. I have found these to be effective on mackerel and pollock, often 4 or 5 at a time.

Catches Fish - Poor Quality Control
The Good:Used over the course of a weekend sea fishing in generally good conditions - sand / deep water. Caught Mackerel with most of the rigs. The Bad:Most of the knots are terrible, especially the loops for attaching to main line and lead. Both had to be re-tied on all of the rigs. Considering these are being thrown out with a 3 or 4 ounce lead it's very much a safety issue. The knots used to attach the hooks and snoods are not proper fishing knots and as such they will regularly break off below the knot losing your weight and the rest of the rig. The leader of the smaller Hokki / Sibiki rig is too light for anything but fishing small bait fish on a light lead (which you wont really find in UK waters). One of the rigs was stripped right down to the hooks after a few casts. Another rig shed all of its hooks/snoods apart from one when casting into a shoal.
