Great saw - wish I'd had one years ago
I was a bit dubious when I first saw the size of this tool. It was a lot smaller than I had expected, as I'm used to a traditional mains powered circular saw. But this is a great piece of kit. Light and easy to handle, so it's easier to make accurate cuts. First job was to cut out and lift an old plywood floor, then replacing it with 18mm marine ply, and the saw did the job with ease. The batteries last longer than I expected, and as there are 2 supplied, you are never left stranded. Charging is quick as well. Overall a great addition to my toolkit. I wish these had been available years ago, as it would have made my life so much easier. As long as you don't expect it to perform like a big heavy mains saw then you won't be disappointed. If you are an avid DIY man or a tradesman, buy one; you won't regret it.

Another Bosch pro 12v masterpiece!
Bosch pro wins again.I'm a big fan of the Bosch pro 12v/10.8v range. Yes, they are the same. Bosch just changed the name.I bought this saw to complete a shed project as there was a certain amount of trimming that needed doing.I'm already an owner of Bosch pro 12v kit so there was the added advantage of extra batteries in this purchase!I purchased the L-Boxx version with two 2ah batteries plus another charger. I love the L-Boxx system and couldn't turn it down at 145 pounds on a deal. With another two batteries and charger this was a complete win!Pros:* Quiet. No ear defenders required.* Up to the job - easily (and quickly) cutting 18mm OSB and half-inch treated pine.* Accurate. Even without a rail the supplied guide was great.* Stands in for a table saw for some tasks. Because it can actually be used one handed, and *if* you have a suitable work-surface you can pull a piece of timber *through* the saw safely. There's a knack to it but it does work!* Minimal kick-back. Because it is low rpm and high torque, if things go wrong the kick-back is actually not too bad at all.* Braked. Yes, this may save your fingers!Cons:* Can drain batteries quite fast on heavy work. The 4ah batteries would solve this. Not a problem for me as I have multiple compatible batteries. The best bit! ... buying some 8x4 OSB from wickes and cutting it in the car-park to fit in the car (yes, I checked with the staff first, they were fine with it).Overall, an absolutely awesome piece of kit. Love it! Great addition to any DIY or tradesmans toolkit. Just wait for a deal if you are unsure.

Excellent
Love this. Not massively big and powerful bit light and easy to use and perfect for cutting boards and smaller timber.

Great tool. Not perfect. Worth the money tho.
Took me a while to bond with this. What was it for? Turns out you'll have plenty jobs for 10-20mm plywood. Becomes an essential workmate. Well built, great cut — terrible guide (by eye) for lining up your cut. Needs a mkii to get it bang on.

Like a Scotch Bonnet chilli pepper!
Small, but has the ability to take your head off. Literally. :-DI already have a medium-sized and a large-sized circular saw, but I needed something compact for a particular job.Like you, I had "ummed" and "aahed" about buying one for some time, but I finally made the decision to go for one.Firstly - this thing is tiny!I was worried if it would get through 3mm-thick plywood.I was worried I was going to make a fool of myself if anyone saw me using it.I was worried the battery would go flat in three minutes. But!This thing is (insert your favourite expletive) BRILLIANT!The blade doesn't rotate as fast you might think is necessary, but don't worry about that: the incredibly powerful motor simply drives the blade through.18mm MDF? No contest; 12mm plywood? Pah!It's *fantastic*, it really is.The other thing I like is the 'guide'.Unlike my other saws, the designers of which said, "oh, 'make it a' tiny little thing that offers no stability", the Bosch 'guide' is the full length of the plate, which means it doesn't (can't!) wander off of its own accord.I trimmed off a critical 2mm from a cabinet base, earlier today, with no drama, whatsoever. The battery seems to be doing fine, too. The LEDs are a really helpful indicator.I've just been going through the Bosch Professional range of tools, here on Amazon... and I think I might be adding to my collection fairly soon. Now you've put this in your basket - have a look at the drill / driver... the same compliments apply to that little beauty.

Mighty little saw
This saw is very small but yet it so does the job very well. I’ve got bigger saws but sometimes they can be a little big. Cuts very well for its size. The only real issue I’ve got is the dust extraction connector. I’ve got a Bosch hover / dust extractor and the connector does not plug on to it. And I don’t know if there is an adapter to make the connection. Other than that well worth the money. I got it to cut floor boards close to a wall when I have to lift them. Perfect for the job. It does all of the adjustments that I big unit will do.

Very surprised how good it is despite sounding underpowered.
I’m pleasantly surprised at this saw. Nearly returned it as it felt very under powered to my Dewalt cordless stuff. Followed reviews and exchanged the 3ah batteries for the 6ah rip off battery. This makes a noticeable difference the speed, but still seemed under powered.Took it to site and ripped a load of 18mm mr mdf and skirting and couldn’t believe how well it performed. The cuts were accurate with the rip fence and dust extraction whilst using inside was brilliant. I’d highly recommend it for quick/small jobs. Others recommend better blades which if you’re cutting laminates or need a finer cut is probably true but this blade gives a fantastic cut on mdf, barely any tear out.I’d say the 6ah is a must for this and with the Bosch fence, I think it would perform very well. One thing to note, if you’re not using dust extraction, it can have a tendency to bind up and stop on mdf but I’ve not noticed this on softwood, ply or osb so far.
