new year diet
Can’t wait to try it. Lots of good pictures too. And the diet is explained in a clear concise way. Something anyone can follow.

No American oven settings.
I was looking forward to getting more set menus under 800 calories daily, but found the majority of daily menus are more like 950 to 1000 calories a day. I can manage the measurements in grams etc. Some or more are for 1 or 2 servings, but some are for more and that puts me off, because I have to spend time diving up portions to make it work for 2. Cooking from this book has some great choices of food and I have enjoyed what I have cooked, but I hate working around the problems. On a diet the person in charge of cooking has to work more hours than they want to making meals and I don’t enjoy this part. I just want to pick a day and follow it through.

Great book, lots of photos and tips
Love this cook book, slowly working my way thru it. What i dont like about it is having to convert from C to F. All descriptions are C, metric. Other than that (i just took a few minutes and printed out a conversion chart i taped to the inside front cover) highly reccomend it!!!

No total carb values
The nutritional values provided are calories, protein & carbs - fiber isn’t listed, nor is sugar. Many of the recipes show high carbs, but not total carbs. It’s fine if you’re just looking for calories- but if you are calculating or keeping track of you actual carb intake, it falls way short of allowing you to make an informed decision as whether the recipe fits in your daily carb count. I find that very disappointing from a book listed as Keto & written for a Keto diet.

too hard to read
Font too small and unchangeable make for a very cumbersome, clunky, backwards experience. Shame, because the content deserves much better.

Not Allergy-Friendly
Many of the recipes look delicious, but with my kale/cabbage and shellfish/shrimp allergies, about half of them require substitutions. It was fun translating British names for food into American (aubergine/eggplant, courgette/zucchini, rocket/arugula, Puy lentils/green lentils, mangetout/snow peas).
