This is an excellent piece of kit, to continuously monitor background and high doses of radiation. It comes with a rechargable battery, but you can also use AA battery as well. Comes with a card to tell you what is normal and what is dangerous levels. Can be hooked into a pc / laptop for monitoring recording data. Comes also with a jack point for an ear piece. Overall size is about the size of a mobile phone. .

for the past couple of years i have been a bit worried about nuclear power and other nuclear problems in the world its good to know when i am about to get nuked. I hate how our government or our energy providers tells us its all ok when in fact some places are up to 100 cpms + its like a good cover up from our good old governmentor or our energy providers. Anyway now i now know when its time to move away as my power plant would of gone bang and the nukes will begin. Anyway this unit is good and the battery life is well good too i believe you can use a aa battery but do not ask me as i do not know yet. Its easy to use the software that comes with it is sort of easy to use and it also comes with a world map of Geiger counters that are showing us the nuke info. Also i like how you can set it to alarm you of the cpms you like too also you can mute the ticking too. Anyway i am happy with this 5 stars.

Its ok, but slow, accuracy is on the poor side, but considering the price..

The most important feature is logging the data, with sound off and backlight, and led off, I measured 24h at around 18 cpm and it barely ate 2% from the battery with every second data logging, its amazingly power efficient. Great. Better yet the battery on my model is removable and rechargeable with usb cable, so after few years of use if the battery dies, you can just get a new one and wham use it forever. I do not have calibration disc so I cannot confirm exact calibration, I think its calibrated for cesium, but gives you general idea of safe environment and objects that can be dangerous. The tube inside is changeable its hold inside of two clamps with two zipteis for security in case of a drop. The unit is super simple and wasy to use. I only ould wish for it to be waterproof, that would be nice. but yo ucan always put it inside of zip bag. Great tool

This little unit performs flawlessly. It has a tremendous battery life and as far as I can tell it provides quite accurate readings. Some reviews questioned the construction, but in my opinion it's more solidly built than some other machines at higher prices.

Good piece of kit. Not had a lot of opportunity to test the accuracy yet. Good value.
