I was overwhelmed with the quality and the weight of this product. For $25 I expected cheapo metal combination plastic crap. However, as indicated in the product reviews it's metal and it's great! As I said well worth the buckaroos!

I saw this item and knew right away that I had to use it for my next romantic surprise. This item did not disappoint! It it very durable and weighty. The letters rotate very easily, so sometimes you have to hold the other letters in place while you line up the others. The instructions were very easy to follow on resetting the code. TIP: The letters will get stuck/hard to move if you put them on upside down while changing the code. I did this on accident and had a tough time prying them apart. They were designed to go together a specific way. TO PUT THE LETTERS ON CORRECTLY: Have the letter wheel in your RIGHT hand (letters right-side up) and the lock wheel that goes beneath it in your LEFT hand. If you put it together this way, you won't have any issues. The inside is a tube about the size of a quarter in diameter. I was able to fit several things inside to make the gift complete. I haven't tried the rings yet, so I do not yet know if they tarnish or not. The gold ring is slightly bigger than the silver ring (the gold fits my ring finger and the silver fits my pinky). This item also came with two extra screws and a pair of nonquality necklaces (small rope-type) you can use to put the rings on, I'm guessing. I honestly just tossed the necklaces.

Such a great buy, better than expected! I love the packaging first of all, very high quality. The item itself is much larger than I expected and it’s made from actual metal which is very sturdy. Very easy to change the code. Going to swap the rings out for cash and create clues for my son to solve for the code for his 13th birthday!

I didn't really look over the description well when I purchased it, so I didn't know about any of the extras. The first thing I noticed was the heft. It is solid. When I took it out of the Amazon packaging it was in a nice little gift bag. Nothing fancy, but mostly you expect it to be just thrown in a plastic bag and maybe sealed. Inside the gift bag was a nice gift box. Inside that was a gift tag, some extra screws in case some get lost and a couple of cheep, but not terrible necklace bands. The thing is heavy. All of this was great so far. But when I started to enter the initial password, one ring will cause the rings next to it to move a little bit, making it a little difficult to set the password. It's definitely a two-hand ordeal. When I got it open I was pleasantly surprised to find the rings I did not expect. That's what the necklace bands were for. They are obviously cheap at this price, but they don't look cheap. I didn't realize that this was a valentine's day specific item and was not expecting the hearts cut into it. It's not ideal for my use, but that's on me. It's right there in the title. Overall a very satisfying purchase. It's not high precision or anything, but it's a fun little gift.

I really like this device. Well made and unique. The instructions are adequate and setting the code is intuitive. The addition spare collar screws is a nice touch, especially after I lost one in my carpet.
