Excellent piece of kit. My idiot builder did not put a water trap into the downstairs bathroom after our rebuild. We had an awful sewer smell going straight out of the shower. I broke out the pipe boxing and as there was no room to fit a u bend, I installed ithis kit in about twenty minutes. Worked brilliantly and no more sewer smell since. One word of caution, when cleaning drain pipe, the flap is easy to lose down the pipe if you miss seat it.

When your water blade waterfall is switched off, the last thing you want to hear is the back flow loud gurgle of the water returning to its sump, so instead you fit a 40mm non-return valve in the sump to prevent this. That is what it was bought for, and that is what it is doing daily, and superbly too. The only minor criticism, and only because of my use of it in an illegitimate way, is the noticeable difference in flow pressure caused by the circumference wall of the NRV, but well within tolerance, but to the designers eye, very noticeable. All the same, it does what it says on the tin and at a highly competitive price too - what’s not to like?

Moved into a house where the bathroom basin and bath waste were T'd into the same waste pipe heading to the soil stack.Letting the basin drain would push smelly air back through the bath trap. This was easy to fit and works well. No more bubbling up through the bath plughole. If you're a DIYer and not sure of the correct positioning of the rings/washers then check out dereton33 videos on you tube where he demonstrates fitting this same product.

Resonable quality , prefer the solvent style to compression joint but this does the job. Leave the cap that hold the valve in place as you can loose the valve down the pipe.

Just what I needed, it was an answer to a problem that would have been stuck with. I have a very long garden and needed to pump water from an underground sump. I was using a submersible pump into a 40mm waste pipe and without this none return valve the water would have just run back again into the sump.

Needed this for out shower waste pipe as the drop angle is quite small and water was coming back to it from the toilet. Does the job nicely. Easy to fit.
