SB Components Premium BBC Micro:Bit Clear Case Protective Case Cover for BBC Micro:bit

I was very skeptical as this is an unknown brand and it's common for these to be very low quality. This proved to be an excellent case however and the price is just right. Note that this is a hard shell unlike the others which are soft silicone. I much preferred this and highly recommend.

Incredible service from SB Components and Amazon. I ordered this micro:bit case at 9.30pm on a Friday evening and received it at 2.30pm the following day! Follow Dave G’s advice about fitting the micro:bit into the case and you’ll be fine. It’s tight but it needs to be.

This is a really good case once it's on and doesn't obstruct access to the GPIO pins (even works with an expansion board). However have dropped a star as it was pretty difficult to fit around the battery connector / reset button and took a bit of brute force to get it seated. The other side then clips in easily. Great value too!

Grandaughter wanted this for her 10th birthday and she spelt out her name on it and has taken it to school to work there too

The case does not fit after multiple attempts by someone who is experienced with electronics and is likely to lead to the microbit being damaged if forced. It was necessary to remove two plastic tags half way along either side of the case piece fitting over the micro usb with a craft knife to get fit the case around the microbit. However case then easily springs open even for an adult! In short the case is poorly designed, can't be fitted by children and needs tape to hold it shut once fitted, until I order an alternative. The case comes will no fitting instructions, you have to figure it out for yourself. Clearly not fit for purpose at present and certainly not suitable for fitting by children!!!

Tight fit but was easy to put onto microbit unlike other reviews i didnt need to cut lugs of or twist in. good case ive also found it easy to remove microbit with ease.

I'm not really one for leaving reviews, but thought I'd best as some of the reviews on here made me concerned about buying this. The micro:bit does fit in the case, you just need to understand how the case is designed and then angle it in and then be confident that the circuit board is stronger than the plastic clip - which it is. There are 2 retaining plastic lips on the sides which stop the board from dropping out, put the side of the micro:bit without the power connector into the case and then lower the side with the power connector down (making sure the top of the board is at the top of the case and you're not catching the power or USB connectors when you do the next bit). Then just press the board down firmly so it clicks past the lip plastic and it will then be firmly inside the plastic case. I only gave it 4 stars because it doesn't take much to put a small piece of paper in the box with a diagram of how to do this and there is nothing.

Good case to protect it when kids are using. It's little tight so may be difficult to fit. Will have to press right point hard to fix it.

Copre bene la scheda con un minimo di ingombro aggiuntivo. Tutti i tasti ed i sensori sono comunque facilmente accedibili. Attenzione che una volta messa non è facile da togliere (non adatta se si deve mettere e togliere spesso, i dentini si rompono).

Als ich die ganzen Bewertungen gelesen habe, hatte ich schon ein unpassendes Gehäuse erwartet. Dies wurde jedoch nicht bestätigt, ich habe es an zwei microBits versucht und bei beiden hat es gepasst. Die Montage war etwas knifflig aber wenn man mal den Resettaster richtig im Gehäuse hat, ist der Rest einfach.

Grâce à ce petit boitier de plastique, la carte micro:bit est bien protégé tout en laissant l'accès à tous les boutons, connectique, etc. L'ensemble ressemble au final à une cartouche GBA !
