Its an ok rod nothing special for the price its fine, good for people just starting out or for children worth the price its at.

After the third time of using it the eye at the tip of the rod got totally chewed up.

The rod itself is beautiful in design and has a premium feel yet didn't break the bank for me to own.The rod has been tested on perch and even pike and had plenty of backbone to handle the fish but with enough finesse that I could feel the subtle taps before the bite. This rod is a perfect all purpose spinning rod whether your are on a large body of water or small.Overall this rod is perfect for all skill levels of angler and at a price that is largely unmatched for the quality you receive. I paired mine with the Abu Garcia promax spinning reel and 10lb braid and it's a match made in heaven.

Trout fishing in my local Reservoir with Powerbait and a light weight no heavier than a no 3 mepps. When hooking and playing a trout of about 1.5 lbs the tip broke clean off. Thats the first time in 55 years of fishing a tip has broken without any previous damage to the tip. Very disappointing since the rod was fairly redundant during 2020 due to lockdown. Wont buy this rod again. I previously had an Abu Atlantic for many years without any problem, this rod was not close to the build quality of the Abu Atlantic.

So far this rod has held up perfectly against small perch and much larger tree branches hidden in the canal. Those complaining of snapping instantly may not fully undertand the limitations of light rods. DO NOT HIGH STICK! DO NOT EXCEED CAST WEIGHT! I chuck small and lightweight lures between 1g and 6g with no issues whatsoever. I'm not sure it would hold up to pelting heavy lures but this is not what this rod is for. Perch and jack pike should be no problem if a bit of thought is given and care is taken.
