Good strong aniseed taste
I was dubious about ordering these because of the negative reviews stating they didn’t taste as strong as other brands. However I’m pleased I did as the aniseed taste is definitely as strong as it should be. Great value for money too. When I eventually get through them I’ll be ordering more

Not like I remember them
They are not a strong tasting as back in the day. Not bad though, and they come with the pip in the middle. Nice touch! Rob :)

Nicer than the last ones I ordered
I’ve loved aniseed flavoured stuff since I was a toddler. I’d bought a kilo’s worth of aniseed balls from Amazon a while back and slowly got through them. This batch tastes nicer to me. Sadly too few places sell old fashioned sweets now but thanks to sellers on Amazon they’re not impossible to get hold of and you can buy in bulk too - win win! I top up a plastic container I keep in the car from time to time and have been having these every car journey since I bought them. They seem to last forever, which is what I always liked about them as a kid. The second best thing about them when I was a kid was nobody else seemed to like them, so more for me! Just to got to stop pesky passengers helping themselves to MY sweets!! These are delicious.

Aniseed balls seem to be a love/hate thing. But my husband loves them, and this seller has been one of the more affordable places to find them. We used to get them in Scotland from the Anstruther Fish Bar, but now that we live many hundreds of miles from there, this is an easier option than flying to Scotland every year.

Excellent product and price and I disagree with the reviewer who said there wasn't a pip. There absolutely is a pip in these. Maybe they are eating through it without realizing it. Reminds me of going to the "sweets" shop when I was little.
