Great product for the price!

I got this after having a GOxlr and a rode procaster for nearly 2 years and wanting something simpler and cleaner. This is so much easier to use than my previous setup, sounds better and costs a lot less. I haven't experienced any software issues like other reviews have said so I would assume they are fixed. Would happily recommend to anyone

Okay so, small time streamer here, mainly for fun.. but I do put a lot of care into my streams appearance/sound. I was hoping the Beacn mic would be a kind of.. Tick all the boxes audio solution for streaming. Out of the box, Very impressive, Build is solid and looks great, everything seems quite premium. Setup was nice and easy, The thread on the mic is actually made to take two different sizes so I could screw the boom arm in without any adapters or such, quite a nice touch. Got the software downloaded and went about setting it up.. Off the bat, the software blew me away.. so many options and such.. the built in mixer was incredible, setting up for stream was like stepping into a different world with all the functionality it had. This is where the dream ended. A few days after getting it setup, I was watching a film on my PC when suddenly.. poof.. silence. Was a bit confused at first but then I've noticed a little "!" over my volume settings in windows, I hover over that to be met with "No audio devices detected." I look to the Mic, the light ring on it is lit up and still doing it's thing.. just.. zero audio. I open the app to see what's going on and it promptly crashes, taking my PC with it. I thought "Okay, software hiccups happen, no worries." I get restarted, go about my day. Two days after that, sat doing some gaming and again.. Poof.. all audio vanishes. I tab out, this time the software didn't crash, but I notice I now have no audio devices to choose from in the software. I decided to restart the software, which promptly caused it to crash.. and I had to restart my PC to get it back. The next day.. decided to do a little impromptu stream.. about 40 minutes into stream and.. you guessed it.. Poof.. there goes the audio again. Except as I was live, I also found out that not only was I no longer hearing anything.. my stream couldn't hear me either.. literally all audio was gone. Again, tabbed out to check the software, and you guessed it again, software crashes.. I had to end stream and restart my PC. At that point, I processed the return via amazon, and later came here to write this review. On a hardware level.. this microphone is outstanding.. but the software literally makes it useless for a streamer.. and that seems to be part of their whole thing for this microphone? I'd say wait it out for them to get the bugs ironed out but it's not even like this is a new product at this point.. the first reviews of it on YT are from over a year ago.. If the software is still a buggy mess a year in, I'm not sure what to say there? Severely disappointed really, I had super high hopes for this microphone but instead I'm left waiting for a refund. If you're wanting this mic.. I'd say look into it deeply.. I found A LOT of good YouTube reviews, but then in terms of 'real world' reviews.. a lot of people just running into software trouble. Pondered giving it a 2 out of 5 because it did sound amazing.. but then, honestly, what good is sounding amazing when your software will regularly render the microphone as much use as a waterproof teabag? 1 out of 5.

This is a terrible microphone! I'm really not sure what the hype is with it, it made my sound quality terrible - for a live internet radio show. Stick with a good, classic XLR Condenser or Dynamic mic.

I've never had to think about fighting technology as much as I have when dealing with this microphone. Constant wire changes, crashes, bugs that make the mic hiss loudly and headaches as I wonder why my mic has cut out yet again on several different PCs that I professionally stream from. I'd say skip this mic and ignore influencers, genuinely just stay away until the figure out how to get this mic to consistently work. Save and get a better one or aim for a cheaper one that won't crash. On the plus when it does work it sounds great and the community is alright at helping half the time. But that doesn't make up for the product simply giving up because someone sneezed in the same room as it.
