From the top, very well packaged, difficult to get out due to the amount of padding, but that's more of a plus as it's well protected. And it's a very nice piece, missud doesn't use my amazon account so doesn't know she has it yet, but she's a Potter nut, and I just know she'll be impressed with this.

Excellent. Very expensive but worth every penny. Lovely design with snakes heads at the top and bottom, and had very fine detail all over. Sand matches the Slytherin colour on the outer frame and the timer is exactly one hour. Excellent product for Harry Potter fans.

Smaller than the real deal, but beautiful. It appears to be exactly the same as the film prop, apart from the size. It's very solidly constructed and stands well. I thought it might be a bit unsteady, but it isn't. Either way up, it's sturdy.The glass hourglass section is beautifully made. Certainly worth the money if you're a Potterhead, like me.I got mine from nextleveluk. I've bought a few Potter things from them. Excellent items and excellent service. Very polite when you correspond with them.
