Sharp EL124TWH Desk Calculator - Black

Great calculator - smart looking, clear and easy to use, also a useful "in-between" size, OK for hand held or desk operation. I like it!

Excellent value for money. My last Sharp calculator lasted over 40 years until I ruined it whilst trying to clean it. I see no reason why this one shouldn't last 40 years too. It is very light which makes it seem flimsy initially but I don't think it is fragile. It's rubber feel stop it sliding round the desk despite the light weight. Legibility is excellent with good sized numbers. The tilted screen is helpful on a desk but not so convenient for slipping into a brief-case. The tactile keys leave you in no doubt that you have pressed the key. The key travel is slightly longer than I have been used to for the last 40 years and they wobble from side to side more than I am used to but I am sure I will get used to it. It is not a deal-breaker. The key travel is more than my laptop (Microsoft Surface Pro) but less than my PC keyboard. For perfection it needs slightly less key-travel, less key-wobble and a flat screen. Then it would get five stars. Despite my minor quibbles, I would happily buy another one if I lost it.

This is my desk calculator at work. My previous one was this exact model and it took a constant battering every day for 5 years before it gave up the ghost. Replaced it like for like as I like it so much

Good value at under £7. Easy to use, does what you would expect it to!

Slightly larger than I expected, but perfectly good for desk use.

Nice handy desktop calculator that has large digits and you get 12 instead of the usual 8 a quality feel about it and the price is a bonus too
