SHIFT - Colour changing rainbow paint - Black 2.0 x Rainbow Liquid

I LOVE this stuff, and their company. Their customer service is top notch. Contrary to another review, this is actually a great set. First of all, read the specs. No it isn't a gallon of paint. It's enough to do a couple small projects. The rainbow liquid and black 2.0 can be thinned slightly with water, and it still covers nicely. Remember what you're buying here. This is high-end, boutique art supplies, not craft store junk. You want large amounts of cheap paint go to hobby lobby.

I need larger amounts for the types of projects I like to do. Other than that, it is awesome.

What makes me most angry is that I never go for the inexpensive stuff ever, never go for the cheap way out. I wouldn’t complain if I’d gotten what I paid for but I didn’t. This tiny bottle showed up at my house only half-full. That’s a standard-sized BIC lighter in the picture. So either they’re charging forty bucks for a good orgasm’s-worth of paint and a small bottle of the black 2.0 or something went wrong and / or there’s something incredibly volatile that evaporated here. I *also* bought a 150ml bottle of BLACK 2.0 (because they don’t sell the rainbow stuff on its ow, but honestly this jar doesn’t hold enough to make it worthwhile, even if it was full, and its only half-full at BEST.

So I love this stuff. I was doing a test run on the back plate of my phone. It looked amazing and was shifting right in my hand. The colors were bright, I was going for a grunge oilslick look.I did make a mistake I think. I decided to clear coat it and the shifting stopped. The clear coat seems to have killed it somehow. I am hoping it's actually just still drying and the drying is cooling it too much too make it shift. I'll update once I make a final decision. That is 100% my fault and not a fault of the product if that's the case. I'll just recoat it because it works with even the thinnest layer of liquid. I still have most the amount left.

Expensive stuff but well worth it if you know what you’re doing. This worked perfectly on my art project, the color shift went through a nice range of colors. If you’re painting something metal or want to create a metal feel, this is it.

not as black as i want it to be. still p black tho. smells like cherrys. color change stuff is fun and good.

Don't buy this product!!! I can say one good thing you get a good black paint and it is very matte, however you don't even get enough rainbow liquid to do a 18oz water bottle WTF for as much as i paid!!!!! I am disappointed in the ability to actually rainbow as well. It has to have multiple layers and the rainbow disappears at high temps and low temps which kinda sucks because it becomes one or the other at matte instead of rainbow. Buyer Beware

This is an awesome kit. I love how the rainbow paint works and it looks great! I just wish it wasn't so expensive or I'd buy more...

Nice product, looking forward to the projects. Just wish there was more in the bottle.
