Lestrade and the Giant Rat of Sumatra Paperback – 24 April 2014

One of my favourites I love these book I had the hole series he wrote a fascinating book on Jack the Ripper worth a look

I love the Lestrade stories and was really excited when I discovered that MJ Trow had written a new one and I have to say once I started reading I was not disappointed. I enjoyed the interplay between Lestrade and Walter Dew and some of the one-liners are quite corny but still funny. All I can add is Mr Trow you've done it again and produced another belter!

Delighted to see Sholto Lestrade back after all these years. If you are new to this detective, I envy you. A great mixture of humour, tension and sadness. Much play on words, many of which cause guffaws out loud. I'd love to see more of Harry Bandicoot too.

Brilliant book and very funny with inspector lestrade on his detective work. Well worth reading if you like M J Trow.
