These are the mothers of all mason jars, the biggest ones I have. NOT the biggest ones in existence, mind you, that you might see at the end of an old bar with pickled eggs in it. (Never did see anyone ever eat those). BUT big enough to fill with water, throw on one of those handled lids, and keep on hand in my 'fridge. I am using two for refrigerated water jugs, so my kids don't interrupt me at the sink to get water; they still do anyway. But, these are nice to have in case the power goes out. What else is nice about these is that they are glass, and a sturdy glass. It's Ball after all. There were so many pretty crystalline and Tritan water jugs on sale but you know, I can't have anything nice with kids. I think these are in fact nice, but practical enough to hold up.

I am making homemade Mamawana (a Dominican drink of rum, wine, honey, and bark/herbs) and they sealed well. If there is an issue when I open them in a month, I will update the review. These glass bottles were packed well, and seemed to seal fully with the cap. I am going to purchase more if the drink turns out well.

Used for storing breast milk for daily use.
