Let's drill some holes
Ordered this for my nephew. As far as I know it was an excellent buy.

3 1/2" spindle travel
I read a lot of reviews about different units before deciding on this one. I am pleased with the quality. Zero runout, runs quiet. The manual says 2" spindle travel, and I saw that somewhere else. However, spindle travel is 3 1/8", and I saw that somewhere else as well. I was pleased to see that, as it was nearly a deal breaker. Worth the cost, which I think is quite reasonable

Pretty good for the price
This unit is a pretty solid unit and will work well for the home DIY projects. It is easy to assemble just assemble it close to where you are going to put it because it is on the heavy side. The pros... A really good motor which gives it plenty of power. The laser was spot on out of the box and no adjustments were needed. The work light puts light exactly where you want it. For less then 300 bucks it is hard to beat. The variable speed control lever is awesome. You can easily adjust the RPMs to get to the speed you need based on the material you are working with. The digital display is great. The cons. The table, it is a bit small and round would be better then square. The Jacobs key is located behind the spindles and that makes it harder to grab or put away easily. The height of the unit is almost 40 inches tall, so its a bit big to sit on a work bench but it does put what you are working on pretty much just below eye level. All in all this has been a good drill thus far been a good buy and i would recommend it

Incredible quality for the price
I looked at a number of comparisons between this drill press and the similarly specification Wen model. I am so glad I went with this model. The machining on all the cast pieces is clean and even with no rough unfinished edges. I like the flat, thin edge of the table for easy work clamping. The lever operated speed changes with digital rpm readout is a welcome upgrade from my old press that required manual belt manipulation to alter speed. Theoretically you could change it, but it took so long change that for years I just drilled every hole at a medium speed. The chuck has a good solid feel and seems more than adequate for an included part. Considering a “professional” chuck would be roughly the price of this entire drill press I’ll stick with the stock model. I’m saving my most incredible pleasant surprise for last. I would have been happy with a couple thousandths of runout at this price point but when I put a dial indicator on the mounted chuck and rotated it throughout a full 360 degree rotation the needle didn’t even move. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. Highly recommended!

Great quality
Better than entry-level definitely worth the money. All levers and switches seem to work really well.

it is not as pictured !
it is a 5 inch throat--- not the 10 inch as illustrated !and a return shipping charge would be assessed for $ 55.35

Durable but need better instructions
Durable construction. This unit is very smooth whether using as a drill press or lathe. Nice power while still obtaining a quiet operation. The midi lathe operation is very nice for anyone from the amateur enthusiast to mid level pro. Although it has a sturdy build it is still light enough to be moved around the shop. The only draw back i can find after two months of use it the drill table. It seems to be offset to one side by 1/4 inch and is not centered on the chuck. The laser centering light is a nice touch except when you lower the drill to the working platform. The chuck blocks the light from the work surface.

Good set of features
I settled on looking for a 12” tabletop press as it offered an improvement from 8” Craftsman I had for many years, yet still marginally portable vs floor models. After searching the various brands it appeared to me that for that size of press, the offerings of the various brands (vevor, Harbor Freight Bauer, Wen, Bucktool and probably others) most like emanate from the same factory in China, or at least the same design. Yet the embellishments such as motor size, table, depth stop, and height of drill varied slightly from brand to brand. The less expensive drills tended to have smaller motors. I ended up selecting the Bucktool press due to more motor, depth stop, and what I perceived to be a better depth stop (this may or may not prove to be true). The work light and laser I have found very useful as well and were common to almost all competitors.I have not been able to use the drill a whole lot so far but am impressed with smoothness of the quill, power of motor, and utility of the light and laser.
