1. Shake the sunscreen bottle well before use. 2. Apply liberally to all exposed skin 15 minutes before sun exposure. 3. Reapply every 2 hours or immediately after swimming, toweling off, or excessive sweating. 4. Use in conjunction with appropriate clothing, hats, and sunglasses to minimize sun exposure.

Trust it..... However in very high temperatures( 30 's)in the peak of the sun you may consider reapplication to be safe. 50 factor is perfect for children. Reducing the amount of sunscreen applied significantly lowers the protection.
