With it being so cold out, thought I'd oufit my bedroom and office with electric fireplace heaters -- bought this one and then while waiting for it to arrive, bought one at Costco which was only $79. I immediately had buyer's remorse on the one from Costco -- the heater makes a loud whirring noise, didn't seem to generate much heaet, the fake flames bouncing too much. I liked it better the second night I used it, and it's cute enough so I didn't return it. However, I nearly cancelled this purchase because of having buyer's remores on the $79 heaters, but thought I'd give it a try and see if it's better. It's worlds better IMO. The flames look more realistic, the colors better, the remote better. Probably the only thing that is a plus and a minus at the same time is that you can't see the controls without opening up the door so it's hard to tell with the remote what heat setting you have it on whereas the other one you can see. That said, it's also more aesthetically pleasing not to have the controls in on the front panel.Anyway, it's a really pretty fireplace and I'm happy that I got it. Of course, with anything fake, it's a little cheeseball but I love the ambience it brings and the heater works fantastic. I bought the cream colored one and it's def not an off-white color but it looks fantastic, even close to my white furniture.

The media could not be loaded. Pros and Cons:Easy to assemble legs and handle. Logs very realistic looking both when running and not. I’ve seen other products that have fake orange/red glowing ash that looks, well , fake.I bought with crackle feature which, eh, is ok. It’s a little speaker that is battery operated, not part of the remote function. You have to press a button on/off for it to work and it has 3 levels of sound. If you leave it near the fireplace, you’re going to have to get up to turn it off. So it kinda defeats the whole “remote” feature.I like that this fireplace is silent when the heater function turns off and just the flames are on. Some products have a noticeable hum when the heater is not working, I have had to return those.I do not like that the control panel is inside the door. I understand it makes for a more realistic look, but if you’re using the remote, you can’t tell what temp you’re setting it at and for how long so you basically have to set it at one temp & time cycle ….unless you memorize how many “beeps” it takes to go up and down in each category.Overall, I’m happy with purchase. Took 1 star off for cons mentioned.

Sturdy and functional little unit!

Esthetically, it is so cute! I love the color, the logs, the flames, everything. It was very easy to assemble. So far so good on how well it works. I love this fireplace!

Love it. Keeps the room at a nice toasty temperature on those cold winter nites. Nice looking unit. Interesting how realistic the flams look.

You turn the heat on and off by cycling all the way up the numbers to get to off you cannot see this with the door shut you have to have the door open you have to go through about 20 numbers to turn it off then the next one turns it back on and you have to go through all the numbers again to turn it off it's ridiculously time consuming. Also it beeps every time you push the remote or manually do it from inside the unit. I could not have it because of this reason very annoying. The unit itself looks a little on the cheap side materials and workmanship are just okay the viewing screen and flames and logs all look very realistic the bricks in the back look real it's basically a very nice looking unit except for the things I mentioned. One corner of the top let loose when I picked it up to move it I had to send it back because of the beeps and how you control the heat otherwise I would have still kept it even with the loose top.
