The game needs no introduction - box and contents could be be better quality card / plastic
This review is for Catan, base game, German edition.I have been playing Catan for more than a decade. I wanted the German version to introduce a German conversation group to the joys of the Catan game. My original English set has simple wooden pieces and the card pieces are of better quality. This set is better organised, and takes all the pieces well.However, the playing pieces are cheap 3D-printed very light plastic - the plastic pieces in the Family version are much better, but they cannot be expanded. It would be great if I could just buy the cards and two sets of the family version brown and green playing pieces for the expansion set, but no one seems to offer them. They used to be available?So somewhat disappointed. Sorry Kosmos.
