I first heard about these phone straps on Twitter after posting that my thumb was aching because the wider reach of the iPhone 6 made it harder to do one-handed texting. I wasn't the only one having the problem. First I read about "thumb extenders" but those just seemed weird and I figured i would lose it. Then someone suggested using one of these finger straps. I didn't understand what it was really and still thought it was something I could lose. I didn't bother researching it right away as I was deciding whether to return the 6 and I needed something that might help asap. After buying one I realized that the strap attached with Velcro to my iPhone case. I looked at the picture and attached the strap to the lower middle part of the phone. I wasn't sure it would help with my reach but saw that it allowed me to balance the phone in a way that allowed for the longest possible reach. Also it is a way to prevent phone drops, and we all know how important that is. I am left-handed and I discovered that I needed to place the strap slightly right of center to get the longest reach for left-handed one-handed texting. The opposite is true for right handers of course. (Place strap slightly left of center.) The Velcro adhesive is STRONG so once it is placed you can't move it. I happily bought a 2nd strap when I realized what the best placement was for me. I've gotten used to the 6 (I have just the regular one) even without the strap but I feel the strap is helpful in preventing carpal tunnel and hand strain generally. And it is invaluable In preventing drops. I'm quite careful with my phone but dropped the old one twice. Once it was fine. 2nd time the screen was fine but the phone died for good. Thank God for iCloud! Some people slip two fingers in the strap. I find just one finger most comfortable. Pics of both one and two finger use attached. Well worth buying!

Adhesive works fine, just not on the Xperia glass backing. Changing rating to 5 stars.**EDIT***I'm going to change my review to 3 stars because the seller sent me a replacement and I very much appreciate the gesture. Good customer service is hard to find these days. However, my experience was the same as the first one and I think I understand why the Gostrap does not work properly. It's quite possible the ones I were sent are from a bad batch.. Hopefully. I really really want to like this because it looks and feels better than other products I've tried. The flaw seems to be that the Gostraps I received are bent backwards slightly and seem to bend away from the phone. The adhesive seems to be strong and I cleaned the back of the phone with alcohol and dried with microfiber before applying. I also applied pressure on it for at least a minute. However, when you put both Gostraps I received on a flat surface it is very noticeable that they are bent backwards slightly. The adhesive does it's job briefly but it isn't strong enough to bend the Gostrap straight and keep it that way. The Gostrap is made of a hard rubber compound and after hours it conforms to it's original shape and peels away on the top and bottom edges until it falls off under normal useage. My phone is an Xperia Z3 Compact with a glass back that is flat so it is not the phone. I've used the Cling-On grip for weeks with no issue, just don't like the look of it. Also going to try the "Love Handle" and see how it fairs. Hopefully the Gostraps that I received just suffer from a bad manufacturing batch because it seems other reviewers have had positive experiences. However, I've tried two and the experience is the same. I would love to try this product again in the future once the kinks are worked out.

Depending on your amount of usage this could be good or bad. The adhesive did not last that long so I used gorilla glue. The strap itself stretched out prematurely but never broke and it was put through a lot! It's easy to use and comfortable. The silicone cleans easily but is bulky. The strap itself is a cloth and will overtime appear dirty.

I purchased this on short notice while traveling, to replace my Flygrip that had broken when I dropped my iPhone 6 plus. At the time of purchase I intended only to use it as a temporary solution until I could repurchase a Flygrip, but have now used it for over a month with satisfactory results. Long-term I wonder how the fabric of the strap will hold up... But my experience thus far is that the Gostrap is a viable and affordable option for those looking to successfully navigate their larger phone screens with one hand.

I purchased one of these for my Note Edge because it is a very large phone and not cheap. I found myself carrying it in one hand (coffee in the other) and trying to write a text. After almost dropping it a couple of times, I realized this wasn't a good idea.I bought this and stuck it to the case on my phone. It had a very smooth back with a rubberized feel and this strap stuck VERY firmly. I wasn't really sure about it at first because I was basically trusting my phone to a strip of sticky tape. After using it for several weeks, there was no sign of lifting from the case. I stuck it near the bottom of the phone and the strap was just the right size for a couple of fingers so I would put my pinky and ring finger in it, leaving my index and second finger to support or balance the top and then used my thumb on the screen. It worked really well.I have got a new phone and the back of it has ridges. When I bought a case, I got one with similar ridges so I'm not sure this will stick well. However, I like this so much that I bought one for this phone and am buying a new phone case with a smooth back so I can be sure it will work. I have missed the secure feeling of having my fingers through that little loop on the back. I can be klutzy and just one little stumble could send my phone flying or even just falling and it would all be over :-(
