Polished a lead crystal vase.
I bought this to remove stains from a lead crystal vase. I used the paste with a buffing pad attached to a drill at low speed and the vase came up a treat (eventually). Do not use high speed as this generates heat that can damage the vase. I also used it to remove scratches from my glasses and polish up the glass on our rangemaster hob.

Excellent, even fixed some deep scratches.
This is a copy of my review for the polishing kit by same company. Used to polish out windscreen scratches. I had a two inch by one inch patch of scores that i can only guess were made by a diamond ring or similar. Some of the scores were deep enough to feel with my nail. Made worse by what appeared to be an attempt to get rid of the scores with sandpaper!!!! I was not very hopeful but gave it a try. First IMPORTANT to note that I did NOT use the polish that came with the kit, but a slightly coarser version by the same company. The kit bottle is around a micron particle size, but I used their 2.3 micron polish (Reviewed here), I was worried about the reviews here that reported hours of graft so I thought to try the coarser grade - which btw is still advertised as a "finishing" polish. Bottom line it worked fantastic. shallow scuffs disappeared in about twenty minutes and the deeper ones, in about an hour, except for three of four tiny bits that were extra deep. I think I could have gotten them out in time too but it was already good enough (you had to know where to look to see them) and i didn't want to risk distorting the screen. Although I said an hour, it wasn't an continuous hour. Probably only about thirty minutes of actual polishing. Just lots of breaks to let the screen cool down and a few cups of tea! TIPS. 1. Use spray bottle of water, to cool the screen every time you stop polishing - steam will come off. 2. Spray the polish pad (rather than the screen) when the polish dries out. You'll notice the screen clearing when the pad dries out. 3. Masking tape off the boundary of the area your working - on the INSIDE of the screen. This will make it easier for you to keep the polishing pad on the bit that needs it. 4. Cover up the area of the car you don't want spatter on! 5. If like me you have a convertible top - cover it up. 6. Like others have said apply the pad to the screen before starting the drill. 7. I bought extra pads as a contingency - but didn't need them. One was enough 8. Read the instructions. Good luck.

Only slightly works.
I used this to try remove a scratch from a cooker hood. The scratch was not deep enough to snag when rubbing a fingernail across it but was deep enough to notice it. Used the backing pad and felt pad from same company and did 4x 20min session slowing the glass to cool as not to get too hot and risk breaking. It very very slightly improved the scratch but did not remove it that it’s not noticeable Glad I didn’t order the even finer polishing grit cream. Was worth a try but didn’t work for me.

Does not remove light scratches on car windscreens.
Bought this and the recommended rayon wool pads for use with a da polisher to polish my cars front windscreen which has a million light scratches that bother me. I cleaned and prepped the windscreen with glass cleaner, masked off the trim and started polishing with the recommended 5 blobs on the pad at about 2000rpm taking my time doing multiple passes to let the da unit do its job, applying more product to the pad as needed and the end result was no better, none of the very light fine scratches have been removed and I spent an hour polishing doing multiple strokes overlapping the previous pass by about 50% like when polishing panels. This product does not seem to work at all for polish car windscreen glass so i'm a bit disappointed, this product is really expensive for the very small amount you get and it doesn't seem to have the abrasiveness even with the recommended pads to do the job. Would not recommend for polishing windscreens to remove fine scratches as it didn't do anything for me, i'll try CarPro - CeriGlass Polish next instead.

Not bad at all.
I used this on a group of very light scratches on my windscreen. They were right in my line of sight. After approx 20 mins they were diminished to the point I could hardly see them. Could keep going but I’m happy with the improvement. It won’t perform miracles but with patience it does work. Your screen does get very hot when using a pad driven by cordless drill. Take a break or pat it with a damp cloth.

The bottle is barely enough to cover your windshield. I used a wool polish pad and polished for an hour. Swirls have barely faded. I am not sure how that product got 5 stars reviews.

11 years of buildup on auto glass. 90% removed and fine abrasives left no polisher marks. Dries quickly so I sprayed pad while polishing.

If you simply want to get all the 'gunk' off your windshield, and prep it for water repellent, this is an excellent polishing compound with which to do so. The 1.7 ounce bottle is going to be good for about three full applications (or more) on my SUV windshield. The ONE downside to using this product is that it will DEFINITELY highlight where all the stone and sand chips are on your windshield! The little chips tend to accumulate the polish, and when dry, makes it look like there are a whole pile of 'spots' on the windshield. Don't worry, this is natural. Wet-buff the spots and polish again, before applying your Water Repellent, so that you don't 'seal' the polishing compound into the 'nicks' on the windshield. This product is very easy to use, apply, and buff. I wouldn't recommend trying it at a tempurate below 50F/10C. , nor would I use it on too hot or sunny a day (best done in the garage away from the sun).
