I'm putting 5 stars because I'm assuming the listing was telling the truth when they said they'll reflect back 80 to 90% of body heat, and can be seen by Search & Rescue. No real way of testing unless they're used in ernest, heaven forbid. I've got these for my daughter who's threatening to climb Ben Nevis with her best friend next spring/summer. Just in case they get out of their depth, I bought these as insurance, hoping they will never come out of the packets. The listing was three, so one will go in my car in case I breakdown. I spoke to a lady waiting for the AA after breaking down last summer, she'd been waiting four hours and they still hadn't turned up, so a heat reflective blanket seems a good idea in my breakdown car kit. They pack down very small, and would even fit in a jacket pocket or a deep jeans pocket (though you shouldn't wear jeans on a mountain, chilly and if wet, very cold indeed). Everyone should have one...

Without opening the sealed package that this foil blanket came in, I cannot comment on the quality. However, Lifesystems has a good reputation so I’m confident that it will be fine

Feels weird to rave about tea towels but these are the best tea towels ive ever bought..and im a pensioner! Lint free, dry really well, wash fine and dry quickly and look good. Highly recommended

I bought these in the hopes I will never have to use them, I hike in some remote areas and I have them with me for emergencies. They come in a very strong little pouch and I'm sure would go a long way to saving lives of ever needed in anger!

It had rained all night, and I was soaked through. In the early morning I was cold and wet, and aware that I might catch an illness. I dont normally bother with any foil blanket, but whipped it out and wrapped it over my shoulders and around my waist. There was an instant warmth, and it kept me dry and wind free. My shirt actually started drying out underneath, so by the time I got home I was half dry. I would recommend this for occasions when you get soaked, and are still far from home. It is very light weight and reusable. It may also block infrared, so may provide some protection from surveillance at night.
