The TONGVEO AI PTZ Auto‑Tracking Camera appears to be positioned to bridge the gap between consumer webcams and professional AV cameras, and in my experience it succeeds (more often than not). The camera feels substantial and well‑engineered, with smooth, quiet motors and a stable base. It iss flexible abut where you install it, with options for desk placement, wall mounting, ceiling mounting, or using a tripod. The 1080p performance is perfectly good, althugh I would have expected 4K at this price. 60 fps delivers smooth video, and the 3x optical zoom delivers a clean image. The 93 degree field-of-view makes it easy to cover a large room without excessive movement or dodgy framing and the Bluetooth speakerphone is a great for hybrid meetings. The big selling point of this unit, and everything else on the market at the moment it seems, is the AI tracking. It works, but is slow to react and can lose its subject, especially when moving quickly or when it loses sight of faces. I would also have liked USB power options for better protability. Overall is provides strong performance, even if can feel like it's trying to keep up with premium systems, and it is on the expensive side of things. Overall, 4 stars.

I'm very impressed with this PTZ camera. I actually have a different version of this which doesn't have the Bluetooth speaker. I'm not sure of the differences apart from the obvious conference speaker but for some reason, I much prefer this over the old one, despite it looking the same with basically the same specs. Perhaps I am just more familiar with it now but I found this one easier to use and picture super clear. Well, clear enough for a call over teams which gets compressed anyway. Speaker wise, it's loud enough for a mid size meeting in a private room. I did struggle to hear it a little bit in a corner office space that picks up a lot of the noise but separate rooms, you should be fine. Build quality is adequate. It doesn't feel like a premium product but it doesn't feel cheap either and is of similar quality to other commercial equipment I've used. Overall, it is quite expensive and for the price, I would have expected 2K at least but it doesn't really matter when live streaming.

I got this as an upgrade to an existing Tongveo set up for video conferencing. Our system has been working perfectly for a long time and there was no real need to upgrade but seeing as the Tongveo had performed so well we thought that we might look at this because of the smooth 60 fps and AI tracking which the previous video conference cam didn't have. This camera was easy to set up and the quality of both the video and the sound is excellent. As with the older Tongveo PTZ conference cam, the build quality is great. It feels durable and looks very well made and professional. We use our system primarily for video conferencing and online training, but something like this is perfect for larger rooms and halls, especially church services and trade conferences. We don't use half the features that this Tongveo model can offer - and it really is feature packed. The large puck-style bluetooth speakerphone is a massive improvement for us and our clients appreciate the clear sound that they recieve. At almost just over £200 (at time of writing) this represents very good value in my opinion. If you want to go to 4K video, you'll be paying another £100+ more, but if 1080p and 60fps is fine for you, then this conference webcam represents a good investment, especially for churches, conference halls and other facilities such as that. This is a good improvement for one of our facilities and has made our training sessions a lot better, and for that reason alone it's worth 5 stars.

In parrocchia da me, durante l'emergenza Covid, ci siamo attrezzati per trasmettere la messa in streaming sui vari social: dato il carattere emergenziale, ci siamo dovuti arrangiare con quello che avevamo, ovvero due reflex su cavalletto con un pc e una piccola consolle che funzionasse da regia. In questo modo potevamo cambiare inquadratura switchando tra una camera e l'altra. Mi è stata data la possibilità di provare questa telecamera per conferenze che ho installato provvisoriamente su un cavalletto posizionato sulla tribuna dell'organo, in alto in fondo ala chiesa. Per fortuna lo zoom 20x mi ha permesso di inquadrare bene il celebrante, sia all'altar, che all'ambone che al leggìo: a tal proposito mi è piaciuta un sacco la possibilità di registrare dei preset di inquadratura grazie al telecomando, in modo da poter richiamare le scene premendo un solo pulsante. Il movimento con telecomando ovviamente non è molto fluido ma se si hanno a disposizione consolle con joystick diventa tutto molto più semplice. 3 sono i metodi di collegamento da poter sfruttare: cavo USB 3.0, per una connessione plug and play direttamente al PC (cosa che ho scelto io avendo un portatile da posizionare nei pressi della telecamera), connettore per protocollo RS-232 o morsetti per il doppino del RS-485. Nella scatola troviamo anche la staffa con viti e tasselli per appenderla al soffitto capovolta e un classico alimentatore a 12V. La qualità costruttiva, i vari protocolli di comunicazione disponibili e la silenziosità nei movimenti la rendono sicuramente una soluzione semi-professionale da tenere in considerazione per riprendere, registrare e trasmettere video in qualità apprezzabile. Il prezzo mi sembra adeguato per quanto offerto, contando che comunque abbiamo un 20x di zoom e una risoluzione di 1080p 30fps. Spero di essere stato utile, grazie della lettura!

I used a similar model for years until it was discontinued. Tongveo suggested this latest model and it is a great replacement. It has good HD video and is a great price considering others on the market. This one also outperformed another popular brand that I will not name. The PTZ works really smoothly. We use the usb connection and stream our church services. Adjusting the lighting and focus is taking some time to get use to and dial-in but those are great auto features also. I’ll keep you all posted.

Non posso che ritenermi soddisfatto per questa telecamera della Tongveo con zoom ottico 20X anche se non manca qualche difetto che ho riscontrato durante l’utilizzo. Veramente impressionante la capacità di zoom, che essendo ottico e non software è reale e riesce quindi ad ingrandire fino ad un massimo di 20X con una definizione veramente ottima. La messa a fuoco automatica impiega 1 o 2 secondi per mettere a fuoco la scena durante lo zoom, un tempo del tutto rispettabile. Basti pensare che è possibile leggere scritte alte 1 o 2 centimetri a 15 metri di distanza senza alcun problema e con un buon dettaglio. La qualità video la reputo molto buona, con colori fedeli alla realtà soprattutto in presenza di molta luce. Con poca luce la qualità video tende a perdere in nitidezza, con i classici disturbi grafici di fondo. Ne sconsiglio quindi l’acquisto se viene utilizzata in zone poco illuminate. Non avendo infrarossi non è possibile utilizzarla in totale assenza di luce. La qualità audio la reputo accettabile ma con diverse carenze. Essendo il microfono incorporato nella telecamera e non a parte, difficilmente potrà essere posizionato in una zona centrale. Questa mancanza rende l’audio in entrata un po’ dispersivo, influenzato dai rumori di fondo. Inoltre a mio avviso la qualità del microfono incorporato non è delle migliori, perché il suono in entrata è decisamente piatto. Tutto questo si traduce in un audio che è comprensibile solo se ci sono pochi rumori in sottofondo. La risoluzione massima a 1920x1080 la reputo sufficiente, ma il tutto dipende dall’utilizzo che se ne fa e soprattutto dalla grandezza dello schermo di visualizzazione. Se la risoluzione risulta dettagliata ed ottimale con schermi fino ai 32 pollici, su schermi di grandezza superiore sarebbe stato molto più gradita una risoluzione in 4K con un maggiore dettaglio grafico. Il telecomando (senza batterie in dotazione) è ricco di molte funzioni utili. Con un solo tasto è possibile ruotare il video in base al montaggio orizzontale o verticale della telecamera, invertendo anche i comandi per controllarla. Si possono registrare e riproporre 9 preset video, richiamandoli semplicemente con il tastierino numero da 1 a 9. E’ possibile inoltre zoomare in 2 differenti modalità, fast o slow, mettere a fuoco in automatico o in manuale. La manovrabilità della telecamera l’ho trovata piuttosto semplice e intuitiva. Dopo qualche minuto si ha piena padronanza di tutte le funzionalità. Il movimento della telecamera consente di poterla ruotare fino a quasi eseguire un giro completo in orizzontale e fino a 90 gradi in verticale. La velocità di rotazione l’ho trovata un po’ lenta, attestandosi sui 15 secondi per una rotazione completa di 350 gradi. L’installazione della telecamera tramite porta USB non ha richiesto alcun drive di installazione per Windows, ed è stata riconosciuta immediatamente. Il cavo in dotazione è lungo 3 metri, se non dovesse bastare è possibile trovare sul marketplace cavi con metrature superiori. Le porte a disposizione ci consentono di avere pieno controllo della telecamera con gli attuali standard di comunicazione presenti. Tramite la porta USB è possibile connettere la telecamera ad un PC o laptop, mentre tramite le porta di tipologia Visca con protocollo RS232 è possibile controllare la telecamera tramite un joystick. Il controllo è possibile anche tramite connessione RS485. Concludendo mi reputo abbastanza soddisfatto di questa telecamera, che reputo un buon acquisto limitatamente ad eventi di tipo amatoriale, o per una ditta di piccole dimensioni che necessita di una telecamera plug&play in un ambiente con molta luce e silenzioso. Ho avuto modo di recensire questo prodotto con totale imparzialità grazie al programma Amazon Vine del quale faccio parte.

⬇️ TEST E CONSIDERAZIONI ⬇️ Ottima telecamera per videoconferenze e live streaming, che mi ha colpito per la qualità delle riprese e per come è stata realizzata. Il dispositivo infatti si presenta già di grandi dimensioni, con una base su cui la camera può ruotare in tutte le direzioni, essendo un modello PTZ. Può essere montata a soffitto, su una parete, su un treppiede o semplicemente appoggiata su piano. Potendola ruotare infatti, si potrà trovare sempre la migliore inquadratura per le riprese. Questo modello è inoltre caratterizzato dalla presenza di uno zoom ottico 20x, che permette di usare questa videocamera anche per sale di grandi dimensioni, potendo poi zoomare senza perdite di qualità visto che si tratta di un ingrandimento ottico e non solo digitale. Tutte le funzioni si possono controllare tramite il telecomando fornito e ho apprezzato che i movimenti della camera siano fluidi, così da poter muovere l’inquadratura anche durante una ripresa. Molto comodo anche il fatto che non abbia bisogno di nessuna configurazione iniziale, basta collegarla tramite usb al computer o ad una altro dispositivo per trasmettere il segnale. Concludendo trovo che sia una videocamera di ottima qualità, adatta anche per un uso professionale. La possibilità di ruotare e zoomare l’inquadratura sono i punti di forza di questo modello.
