We did not use the product because the lift that it was to replace final worked.The Shanderlair was 95 lbs and the capacity was 110 lbs.The replacement capacity was to large 550lbs.So I returned it.

Very conflicting information. In the description it states it is 110 V. However, it is not. It is 220 V. Who has 220 V in the ceiling lights?

Not sure what people are complaining. Took a while to figure it out, but this thing works perfectly, and was able to lift my 120lb chandelier. Check the video... Edited- The lift stopped working just over a month, its not comming down anymore, shocking for me, removing and installing new one when chendlier hanging is big hassle.

We used this system with these 2 covers in my new construction. The lift works, but noisy. I am OK to live with it. The cover with price tag of $129-149, is a piece of garbage. It is plastic on the side wall and can't be flush with the ceiling. My builder had an electrician changed twice using both 2 sizes of the covers, none of them look good. I sees gaps on the ceiling every day when going down the stair! This type covers should be removed from Amazon, extremely overpriced and no functional! If I bought this cover for $20, I probably won't complain.

DO NOT BUY THESE IF YOIRE IN THE USA. They don’t come with attachments. The instructions aren’t proper English and there’s no good way to attach the light shroud to the lift. Just avoid these for you’re own sake.
