Update to say that this camera takes 4 AA batteries. It does not "charge". I thought it was supposed to do that at first too, but all you have to do is replace the batteries! Remove the black panels on each side and you will find where to put them. It works perfectly fine and my daughter still loves it. Original review I was hesitant to buy this camera because there were no reviews yet. However, I am happy I did. I really wanted something that was more appropriate for my daughter who is about to turn 7, and I didn't want to buy an adult camera or child polaroid camera. Our old VTech camera was great for a toddler/ pre-schooler, but the resolution was horrible. Plus, the memory wasn't expandable and the screen was very small. This camera has everything we wanted, selfie mode, improved resolution for the photos, expandable memory, durable, two little "handles" so I can add a neck strap if I want, and the headphones are a huge bonus for her! She just opened it today and loves it! I will come back and update if anything goes wrong, but it is perfect!

My 4 and 5 year olds love their cameras. These are easy for them to use on their own. The screen size is great, and the picture quality is pretty good (as long as they have a steady hand). The games are easy to navigate and age appropriate. The selfie mode is is a household favorite. I recommend purchasing a memory card with it. They run out of space very quickly. We have not used the MP3 player on this. We have had them since Christmas, and they have been very durable. They have been dropped a few times on the carpet, with no resulting issues.

My daughter got this for Christmas and brings it everywhere always telling people to say CHEESE! Its lightweight, durable and very good battery life. seriously shes been using it almost an entire month on the same AA batteries she started with. She loves the built in games and sticker overlays. Shes only 4 and knows how to use it better than me. So it's super easy to navigate, stands up to the abuse of kids, and keeps them happy

A great gift, kids love playing and taking pictures with their new camera! Bought two of them :) Nice backgrounds, nice and funny editing on pictures. The picture quality is not high though... that’s the only comment on this product.

She's 5 she got it Xmas 2018 and just loves it. It take great pics, video, plays music and has a few games on it. 4 aa batteries. You need to buy seperate micro SD card for it. Comes with headphones and cable to connect to computer. So happy we got this for our little shutter bug. She was always trying to use my big Cannon.

This was a huge hit for a 7 year old girl’s birthday. She absolutely loves it and said I was the best mom in the world for giving it to her. It’s been almost two months and she still comes to me and says I’m the best mom for getting it for her. I like it because it has the camera and you can put music on it. She loves it because there are games and she pretends she has a phone like me to look at. I don’t like that it takes regular batteries and isn’t rechargeable. That being said, everything else this phone has outweighs that by miles. It’s really good.

I purchased this for our daughters 6th birthday. I wasn't sure about it at first as she uses her iPad to take photos so I was worried this may not be the right gift but we took a chance on it and it was such a big hit with her! She takes it EVERYWHERE. It has so many great features for photo editing (eg. change colors, put stickers and stamps on photos and so on) she was able to use it straight away and I was surprised at how easy it was for her to get the hang of. It seems really durable and works perfectly with rechargeable batteries (purchased separately). I would highly recommend this model as it has an mp3 player in it. If we are out in the car my daughter loves to listen to music on it and having this feature sort of inspires her/reminds her to take her camera out on each trip.

Gift for our 6 yr old so she will stop taking my cell phone and filling it with pics/videos. She loves this gift!! The camera is tough and durable (she already dropped it, but no problem) Buy a nice large SD card to put in it (does not come with one) and rechargeable batteries... The camera comes with 4AA batteries (nice touch) and it has an auto shut off feature that is also nice, but if your child is like mine than you'll be replacing those batteries soon enough and that may get old (and expensive) after a while.

This is my second of the Vtech Kidizoom Duo 5.0 Deluxes. I bought my first for my nephew who loved it at 4 and he has taught his 3yo sister to love it so she asked for one for her birthday. They can both use many of the functions but I can see that it will grow with them as they develop. It is hardy and easy enough for even their mum and dad to learn to use. :o)

Un gran regalo para los niños, se la regale a mi hija la más pequeña y está tan padre que tuve que comprar otra para mi hija la mayor. Se divierten, toma buenas fotos. Muy contenta con mis dos camaras.
