Amazon Aware Hydrating Face Cleanser with Avocado & Sandalwood Oils, Vegan, Cucumber, Dermatologist Tested, Normal to Dry Skin, 5.8 fl oz

I originally found this product by researching clean skincare products on EWG (Environmental Working Group that is dedicated to helping leave a healthy lifestyle). I love the way my skin feels and the price is amazing. This will replace some of my more costly skincare products.

I bought this for my very sensitive face, knowing well that it had fragrance and some other things that might not agree with me. For the price point it was worth a try. It didn’t work out. What I have found, however, is that when I started using it on less sensitive skin, it is magical. I will continue to repurchase because I absolutely love it as a body wash! And it is significantly cheaper than upscale, “skin care” body washes. I can highly recommend if not for the original role for which it was purchased.

I wish I didn’t crave a pleasing scent to my cleansing products but I just do…nothing overwhelmingly fragranced or screamingly synthetic, please. In particular, I’m always hoping to find an acceptable substitute for one of my (and so many others’) favourites, Fresh Soy Cleanser, with its crave-able cucumber scent. I’m sorry, the Yes! to Cucumbers cleanser is NOT a dupe! If it’s not synthetic, hats off to the fragrance developers because it sure smells like it. Anyway, back to this Amazon cleanser…At the time of this review, 8 June 2023, it’s $7.79 for the kit with the pump. The viscosity is a bit thin, which could use some improvement since you’ve got to use more than one pump. I feel it doesn’t lather up much, but that’s not necessarily a requirement for a good cleansing. My skin feels fresh and clean afterwards, not dry and tight like it’s been stripped, nor does it leave a waxy coating like some cleansers (hello, Cetaphil…:::shudder:::).I love that the packaging is lightweight, recyclable, unbreakable (I keep mine in the shower), and, other than the pump, NOT PLASTIC (and that bit you’ve only got to buy once since you can get refills). I plan to keep repurchasing this, and find ways to repurpose the aluminium bottles.By the way, there are a couple of really nice moisturisers to go along with this, one for oily/combo skin with a gel texture, and one for normal/dry. I like the gel one (I’ve got oily but mature skin) for hot weather, it feels cooling and plumps the skin, and love the other as a rich indulgent hand cream! Amazon, please offer a body wash and lotion to complete this line!

Edited- I decided the chemical scent was too much and requested a refund through chat which I received.I bought this cleanser before and the scent was mild. This is my second bottle and it smells like chemicals, not at all like cucumbers. It is very gentle and cleansing. I will still use it but I won’t buy it again.

I purchased this product a few months ago for $4.42. I was shocked when I came back to reorder and saw the $10 price increase! I had to look at my last order to verify I wasn’t making things up!Loved this item for the clean ingredients and price point, but I don’t think it’s worth it for the price it’s currently marked at! Yikes!

My face feels clean, but not dry. I love the packaging. I’m skin care obsessed and this one is definitely a keeper.

the smell is not very good. I'd have preferred no scent to having one that smells like an old product. The cleanser seems to do an okay job. I appreciate that it is natural which is why I tried it. But I suspect that, like the other Amazon Aware product that I tried, the price will be doubling soon. I was using the face cream which I liked a lot but once the price hike came into play I stopped buying it.

So I love this product! It makes my skin feel soft and supple, it pairs well with my exfoliating brush when I want some exfoliating. It does have a mild scent to it though so if you are allergic, that is something to be aware of. 10/10 will be repurchasing!
