Good value hearing aid, high frequency amplification improves speech clarity
This is my fourth pair of hearing aids bought from Amazon over the last two years. It probably is the best value hearing aid that I have tried. Most of us with age related hearing loss need amplification of high frequency sounds to improve speech clarity. The cheap hearing aids just boost all frequencies so they don't really improve the clarity of speech whether it is live or on TV. This one definitely boosts high frequencies. Just listen to the clinking of glasses or water falling into the sink and notice the new sound. It has two frequency boost modes but I can't tell any difference between them. It also has very low amplifier noise. When you sit in a very quiet area you hardly notice any amplifier noise, unlike the cheap brands. The rechargeable battery works well. I recharge every night and never had it fail over a 15 hour usage period.Fit- So far ok. It has a fixed hearing tube which works for me but adjustable ones give more fit latitude. Hopefully these will hold up better than a $600 pair that broke after a year. Some suggestions for improvement:1. It's minimum amplification is a little too much for my limited hearing loss. Two more clicks lower would work for me.2. It has only one noise reduction mode. It really needs a mode to filter out restaurant background noise when needed.3. The charging light is a bit annoying in a dark room at night sitting on the night stand.

OK, but not perfect
These hearing aids work OK, but they are not perfect. First, they are very large. If you don't care, or if you have long hair, then maybe that's not an issue, but they are big. Second, there are three controls on each unit, Mode, Volume, and On/Off. When wearing these, it is difficult to feel which button your finger is on to make it work. Third, the speaker part actually goes into your ear canal, unlike most hearing aids, but I like that and I think you get better sound that way. But with this hearing aid, the tube which runs from the unit, up over the top of your ear and down to the speaker in your ear canal is a bit stiff and does not allow the apparatus to fit exactly as you would like it to. Last, these hearing aids are rechargable, which is a great feature, but the way they do this doesn't work so well. There is a charger and a cable which plugs into each unit. On one hearing aid, the recharging plug (which is pretty small), clicks right in, with no problem, but on the other hearing aid, the charging plug does not click in, and does not fit tightly into the hearing aid, so charging that one is unreliable at best. Those are all the things I dislike about these hearing aids, but putting all that aside, the sound is pretty good. So, you decide.

Product is very large.
The pros- For the price they amplify well. The controls work well The chargers work well They keep a charge for 1-2 days The Con- The aid is very large and heavy over twice as large as my broken very expensive aids. they are so large that I have trouble keeping them on my ears. They are best for use in side where you aren't moving around. When walking or biking they won't stay in place due to weight shape and size. If the Tube were smaller diameter and shaped better it would facilitate a better fit. The tube being very large as is the aid makes the unit very viable to others. The blue color doesn't blend well with hair and skin which makes it stand out even more. Conclusion if you want a hearing aid for listening to music or watching tv or so you can hear conversations inside it is a functional product. If you are semiconscious about looks or are physically active spend the extra 300 dollars and get a smaller less con specious unit.update- after using device several months developed sore inside ear, blood and scabbed over area in the ear canal that refused to heal. Stopped using aid 4 months ago area is still sore although healed. I will not be using it in the future.

Great product for a great price...
At age 65 my hearing has been getting worse and worse over the years. I now have problems hearing people clearly and listening to TV so I decided it was time to do something about it. I started looking for hearing aids and "BANG!" Hearing Amplifiers popped up on my internet search at a fraction of the cost and there were so many to choose from. I decided that the rechargeable type was the way to go since i didn't want to mess with replacing batteries or keeping spare batteries in the house. This limited me to the over-the-ear type which was fine with me since they are somewhat less detectable.Having so many different brands to choose from I searched the internet for ratings on the recommended brands. The Britzgo models were consistently rated in the top 5 beating several higher priced brands. I decided to go with Britzgo, which is an intermediate priced brand, since this is my first Hearing Amplifier. With a little more research I found that Britzgo made a rechargeable model, the BHA-1222, which could go for 50 hours before needing a recharge. This must be a new model because I didn't find any ratings on it elsewhere on the internet, but looked just like their other models, and had the same specifications. Pricing varied greatly on this model, all the way up to $500. Found the best price here on Amazon. After reading the reviews I ordered the 2-pack.The pair of Hearing Amplifiers arrived quickly. Each Amplifier came in its own case with a cleaning brush, AC adapter, and 4 different size ear tips (including the installed one) and a set of directions. After unpacking them I charged them for 6 hours. WOW! SIX HOURS! My laptop computer takes only 2 hours along with other Lion batteries I use. How can such a small hearing amplifier require 6 hours of charging? I have no idea. I'll be charging these overnight so no problem. After charging I put them on and got a loud squealing noise while doing so. I later learned to turn them on AFTER putting them on to avoid getting the noise (sounds like microphone feedback). I also noticed the squealing noise only happens when the volume is set up on high levels. The more expensive brands filter the noise out. For the price I can live with this work around. The Hearing Amplifiers fit very nicely and comfortably on my ears. I don't notice that their even on most of the time and it dosen't feel like their going to fall off at all. I have the volume set low but can go much higher to the point of hurting my ears. The sound is very clear and crisp without any buzzing, humming, or other noises reported with other brands. While adjusting the volume a beeping noise is made to help you remember your volume setting. The settings are stored so there's no need to adjust after turning the power off. Can be put into the right or left ear by simply twisting the ear tip. The button on the top will adjust the tone to high or low depending personal preference.Over all I'm very happy with them and would recommend them to anyone with hearing issues.
