Recoil Offgrid -2 Year

I thought I would like this very much - but I thought I was buying a single PRINT copy of this - not kindle. While I love my Kindle - I almost never spend that kind of money for a book or magazine that in a SHTF scenario - I could not access. Sort of misses the point of the title - Don't you think? As I was reviewing this on my kindle - It occurred to me that not only can I NOT get it in print (my fault) I could not get it delivered to my PC reader. I have a 17" laptop for a reason. In the Kindle I had to push, pull and drag myself to irritation - - and then - tried to get it delivered to my PC reader that I almost always use. To my deep disappointment - It is Not even an option. I will not ever buy another - Anything Kindle - that is not deliverable that way. I am a young 58-year-old man and I still like the feel of and security of paper. But in lew of paper, I will accept a PC Reader version. Nuff said. ==== For clarification: I was going to give it five stars because I liked the thoughtfulness of the info and appeared to be little to no B.S. ===== But when it's given to you in a manner that is so - very hard to use - it became almost worthless - I did not give it one star -because I don't hate it either - they just need to have better options and if you are going to charge this much - YES include the Adds - just put them at the back and let us read what we paid you for. Recoil Off-Grid magazine is one of the most enlightening magazines available. If you enjoy the outdoors, hunt, fish, camp, hike, and want to be able to survive your outdoor adventures, you need to be a subscriber.

Similar to ReCoil magazine, offgrid offers helpful articles and stories about survival in various scenarios, or environments. Ample section on new gear, and a few how-to articles thrown in. I enjoy reading almost cover to cover. If you are interested in upgrading your chances of survival in a variety of circumstances this is the magazine for you.

I like OffGrid Magazine, the problem is the Kindle format. If I purchase something (even Digital copy), I should have the ability to take it with me anywhere and in any format. In this case, the issue is you are required to use a Kindle or Kindle app with the DRM only for Kindle. There is no PDF available for myself to take my purchased digital content to a PC or other devices (without Kindle). Again, great magazine but the restricted digital format is just not worth it (especially if I want to read on other devices without adding another app).

I've read the magazine for several years and have enjoyed the tops. I look forward to seeing more topics on medicine, first aid (more than the stereotypical stuff), patrol techniques Stealth Camping, etc. Glad the magazines finally has an e-version.
