I've bought these a few years in a row now from a couple of different companies specifically for my art students. I find that they are a perfect size for printer sized paper (8.5x11). I use them for my intermediate student artwork. It works for plans, small sketchbooks, and to keep the artwork from getting dirty or messed up from other student's work or hands touching it. While it is not big enough for large work, it is great for most things we do as intermediate school art students. The hook and latch (aka Velcro) tab is another reason I like these. I have bought the ones with the snap closure and they tend to rip out rather fast. These are good for the money and quality.

I use these to organize my genealogical research. I keep my ancestor's precious documents (birth, marriage, and death certificates) in them. I like that the plastic sleeves keep rain (and occasional spills) off of the paperwork. I also like that there is conveniently 8 colors - as most people have 8 great-grandparents. The hook-and-loop closure is quick and easy. I also like that there is a pocket to write a contents label. These envelopes are also sturdy and reusable. Also, I find it convenient to write on the poly envelopes with a dry-erase marker, easily erased without any damage to the content inside. I'm certain I will be purchasing more of them. Note: They are slightly larger than a US letter-sized 8 1/2 x 11" piece of paper, so they will not fit in a standard letter-sized filing cabinet. That fact did not deter me, as I wanted them on my desktop for easy access - but is something to note if you want to file them. I hope they start issuing more color choices soon!

These are exactly what I needed. Great size, color, snap closure, quality. Very pleased with these.

Used for student take home folders. They lasted well but the Velcro became hard to function after a year of use. Some cracked too from daily use in backpacks.
