Revell 1:72 Scale Fw 200 C-4 Condor Bomber

This kit is not for beginners lots of parts to assemble and lots of detail to complete but it is a wonderful kit and makes a great model when it is finished. Be careful to assemble the parts in the right order and to dry fit them before gluing in place to avoid messing it up. The model is quite big when completed and you get several choices to how you want to paint it making this an interesting build for the more experienced model maker or a father son project.

Having reviewed quite a few of these models I have only ever given a one star rating to the durability of the toy. However on reflection if a child or yes us adults ( surly there is no law that says we cannot have toys !!) then the durabilaty of the model is not in the finished product but the fun in making it, the only difference seems to be is that the child wants to try flying the thing where as the adult would prefer to put his prized masterpiece behind glass never to be touched again.This particular model excels where as well as not just having a super detailed fuselage ,but if made carefully sections on the finished model can be lifted out to show all your friends your handy work, but i don't recommend this to much because as all modelers know too well you only have to breath on these things and they will fall apart!!.I suppose that because of stupid regulations Revell have to put suitable for children over ten, every time I go to my local model (toy) shop i see little children picking up these models and shouting "Mum I want that"only to be told no your not big enough yet. Children's ability seems to be so under estimated. No I wouldn't recommend this kit to a complete beginner, and the asking price of these larger models might be a bit expensive just to keep the child quite on a Saturday afternoon, but if they have got a couple smaller models under their belts then I would not hesitate in recommending it. And parents if they cry out for help with the hard bits please give it them, I didn't have that luxury away at boarding school. These kits are a wonderful education tool, Im sure that there are quite a few micro surgeons and the like out there who will confirm that is where they honed their skills as children.Apart from my usual ? mark instructions, this is another super detailed well researched model from revel, and yes it deserves 5 stars for durability.

Todavía no me ha puesto con el pero al ser de Revell y con la experiencia que tengo de otras maquetas no creo que haya ningún comentario negativo, sino todo lo contrario.

wieder hat es Revell geschafft ein sehr schönes Flugzeug zu erschwinglichem Preis auf den Markt zu bringen: sauber gegossene Teile, wenig Grat und nur an zwei Teilen des MG-Drehturms einige Unebenheiten. Die Bordwaffen, wie auch die Fahrwerksteile sind schon sehr filigran, da ist beim Raustrennen Vorsicht geboten, aber es wirkt nach dem Zusammenbau vorbildgetreu.Cockpit vernünftig ausgestattet, wenn auch Raum für Verfeinerung, wie Gurte und ähnliches Kleinteil bleibt.Der Bombenschacht ist ein Klarsichtteil, da ist zusätzliches fieseliges Abkleben fürs Brushen nötig.Sehr gute Abziehbilder, klare Scheiben, brauchbare wenn auch schwarzweisse Tarnschemen und eine kurze Beschreibung der Geschichte und technischen Daten.In Summe ein guter Wurf, aber schon mehr für den erfahrenen Modellbauer.Man könnte vielleicht den Bombenraum noch etwas detillierter gestalten, da sind nur 4 glatte Greifflächen, oder die eine oder andere Figur beilegen.Ein besonderes Lob an den Revell Service. ein Teil fehlte. Mail an Revell mit Modell- und Teilenummer, sofort eine Antwortmail, es kann ca 3-4 Wochen dauern und dann kam nach 2 Wochen eine kleine Box mit dem Teil, keine Kosten! Vorbildlich !
