Quality Tar Brush.
Just done a full garage roof with this tar brush and it's of good quality, easy to work with and excellent value for the money.

Better than a traditional paint brush
My shed has appreciated the work of this brush. Short but long enough to enable reaching a distance at arm length.

It's a cheap, chuck away tar brush... And that's all a good thing
I bought three of these brushes to brush on some waterproof bitumen paint to decking posts and framework timbers (6x2), and they worked a treat, and for the cost, I just chucked them after each application. Even though the brush is bulky, and the bristles are thick... They painted it on great, handle is nice and long so your hand has plenty of room between it and the paint. Yes, there was a bit of bristle loss, but not bad if you ask me, and it calmed down as you used it... Why people are whinging about it has me baffled... It's a cheap brush, it's designed to apply sticky stuff, most solvent based, of course it's going to lose a few bristles... I mean, even "Lossless" more expensive brushes that are designed to put on emulsion lose bristles... Expensive roller heads lose some of the pile... So it beggers believe what they are painting to warrant such whining really... Are people out there painting bitumen paint or using these on their skirting boards or something? It's a tar brush, a cheap one... And pound for pound, a pretty good one if you ask me!!!

Not the greatest experience
I used this brush with Cromapol on a flat roof and it started off OK but by the time I was half-way through the 5Kg tin the bristles where starting to fall out. A short while after that the brush head freed itself (it's an interference fit on the handle) and I had to keep forcing down onto the handle which meant that Cromapol was getting all over my gloves and it became a task not to then transfer it to anything else I might touch. By the end of the tin the bristles where falling out by the dozen with each stroke. and I was having to push the brush head firmly back onto the handle every few minutes. At the end of the job I binned the brush head and kept the handle, in the hope it'll come in useful for something at some point. I suppose £3.50 is not a bad price to pay for a one use brush (no way would it ever have come clean for another use, I'd say). At one point I thought of putting a nail into the handle to stop the brush head from sliding but by then my gloves were covered from having to bodge it and I didn't want to risk spreading that stuff into garage.
