Doro 4005 2 in 1 Cordless/Corded Combo Phone

Had one before and got on well with it. The last one which was sent unfortunately had only the foreign voices and no English. But I was able to leave my own message for the answer phone part so didn't bother to change it. Works very well for our use for home and my husband likes the hands free part, as he is hard of hearing and that makes a lot of difference for him to use.

Phones work well. Instructions were not comprehensive so had to work out how to set the phone up ourselves. Comments from other reviewers that the ring tone was too low can be rectified by changing the ringtone once you've worked out how it's easy but not explained in the instructions.

When answering a phone call, there does not seem to be any way of picking up the 'other' phone so that both phones, base or remote can be used at the same time. For example, if the base telephone is answered, the remote phone is dead and vice versa and as a result, no one else in the room can join in the conversation! I have a Panasonic remote which works perfectly well so I would have thought that same manufacturer phones would be automatically linked to be used at the same time.Feedback from anyone else with this phone would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

The telephone is very good , a the quality and appearance pleasing . The hand book is easily understood to put the hand set into action

Excellent value. Easy to use. Easy to read numbers Good display. Smart appearance Everything you want in a desk phone plus bonus of a portable. Shame about the name - Doro is not a word that really appeals to an English speaker for a phone - sounds like a diminutive of Doris or Dorothy. Comfort sounds more like a bra or condom. Something like Dialatron Desk Duo would describe it with more panache.
