Q: Are they washer and dryer safe?

I used these as a quick repair on some pants and i've washed them a handful of times, I haven't noticed the color wearing off or anything. I used the bright gold for those.

Q: How do you attach these? What tools do you need? Do you sell the hand press machine dies for these?

I just use a pair of scissors(closed) to push down the tabs as flat as possible and then turn the button over and press on a hard surface. If I worry about the integrity of my fabric I add a square of felt to the back

Q: Will they hold purse straps to gather?

Not the magnetic ones, the shoulder strap should be something like a buckle, but the access straps or pockets could be the snaps in this kit.
