Superhero series. Very well done 👏
I have seen plenty of different superhero movies over some years, and I have to say this series of Smallville is well made 👍 it is about a young man/boy named Clark (also called Kal-El) that is adopted by a Mr. and Mrs. Kent. He has a tough situation, as he is born with powers (Clark) and he has to be discreet about those abilities, to fit in a world where he is one of a kind. I will not mention much more, in order not to spoil it, as the series is partly based on partly showing the viewers what it is about, as the story unfolds.I will describe it as full of action, some humour, love affairs, and men with a lot of power and money. And of course a tragedy or two.I will strongly recommend you to see it if you like a good superhero saga or two. This is a nice one.

More in-depth Superman (spoiler warning)
Started watching Smallville when I was 15 years old (now 30) and it’s still an all-time favourite for me. I actually bought this collection 10 years ago but it’s still being used to this day. Superman is probably my favourite Superhero and you will not be disappointed if you’re a superman fan. The idea of his younger years as a Tv Series was a genius idea. Seeing him and Lex have a genuine friendship at the beginning was remarkable, but I thought how they slowly become enemies was quite sad. A lot of character growth from everyone that’s featured in this and Tom Welling was perfect for this role

10 Seasons in one Box
Smallville originally premiered on TV in 2001 and ended in 2011 so this is by no means new, but is well worth a watch. Most are familiar with the basic Superman character, but this 'fleshes' out his teenage and young adult life. The first four seasons mainly focus on his friendships and his feelings for neighbor Lana Lang (Kristin Kreuk). Series five and six tend to cover more mature feelings and subject matter, while the remaining four seasons basically create a Superhero 'universe' as other characters become involved. All the while, Clark tries to hide his 'super' identity, often with limited success.with 217 episodes at around 42 minutes each, there is plenty of viewing here, but with 4 episodes to a disc, it can be conveniently broken down into 3 hour segments. Never boring, I did prefer the first 4 episodes over the remainder, but they also had plenty to keep the interest and lead conveniently into the many later superhero movies and TV series. While these do contain some suggestive adult moments, there is nothing here to truly offend other than some bad moral choices that didn't seem so bad 'back in the day' when originally made.

is it a bird...?....No! it's a brilliant box set!!
I have to be honest i sort of gave up on this show after the third or fourth season, reason being the messed up TV schedules and me starting a new night shift job....but what i DID see was brilliant television as am sure the lifelong fans who have stuck with it from day one will testify. I'm so chuffed to own this entire series box set as i can now chillax and watch every episode (all 218 of them PLUS the wealth of extras on each season!)To think i nearly plumped for the 9 season box set without realising season 10 was going to be the last one, and then finding out the whole caboodle will be available at the end of October!Being a huge fan of all things Superman, including the "other" TV show, "Lois & Clark" and all the films you could say i'm a happy chappy!!PS....Big thanks to the Amazon team for dispatching it AND having it delivered the same day!!! Thanks guys!!! :)

You will need to spend time sorting the supplied disks
Warning: these discs do not seem to have any season identifiers beyond a different coloured semi-circle.

A Pretty Definitive Collection
Every episode, from every season, ever; you could ask for a more comprehensive edition of the Smallville series, but I doubt you'd get it. There are also quite a few extras included, a lot of deleted scenes and a featurette or two with every season. For these I can't say whether this is utterly comprehensive, but it adds at least an extra hour or two, which for the current price is more than enough for me on top of the 150+ hours of actual episodes. Physically, this boxed set was surprisingly small in terms of its packaging. Given how large the boxed sets of individual seasons were, I feared that this would be equally bulky, but the discs are packed into slimline cases and the only other extraneous packing is the box itself. All in all, excellent value for money and a great way for any fan of the series to avail themselves of the entire journey from Superboy to Superman.

Super regrets
Smallville is without doubt the best sci-fi series to hit the small screen. The stories were all amazing and the acting excellent. Lots of interesting characters and new ways of looking at the Superman legend. It's a shame it didn't develop into a new Superman TV series, which is one of my super regrets. The other one is that the series and the actors stayed away from the big screen. This new mythology would have made an excellent new franchise for a Superman film series and Tom Welling is to me the ultimate Clark Kent/Superman after Christopher Reeve. Better than Brandon Routh and newcomer Henry Cavill could ever be. Unfortunately, 10 years on, the actors age but Superman doesn't, so things become less believable. Well never mind, we can enjoy Smallville till time immemorial now thanks to the amazing 10 season box set which is only double the price of season 10!
