BlueRigger USB Extension Cable (10M, Long Active USB2.0 Extender, Male to Female Repeater, Data Transfer Cord)- for Game Consoles, Printer, Camera, Keyboard, Hard Drives

Extremely well made, well shielded and strong. Had some reservations as 10m is double the USB2 5m max spec but the active repeater works well and is immediately recognised with Windows 8.1. As a test so far tried it with a USB3 Pen connected to USB2 and USB3 ports and it read/writes fine and streams from video on the pen drive without problems. Obviously the active repeater is USB2 chipset so speed is limited to USB2. Originally used with a waterproofed webcam for bottom of garden pond! Updated 2018 - Now using for astrophotography with Win 10 - had two of these cables but one went faulty (likely got snagged) so ordered another, have a go to mount, guidescope and DSLR camera all connected via a mini USB hub at the scope then connected to my laptop with this, I actually join the 2 cables to make 20M when needed - note that it generates a virtual com port, when you have two connected the com port number changes - really good quality & value

Works as expected. I use it to put a Bluetooth extender from the office into the lounge when gaming with the PC on the lounge TV. No issues with connection or latency. I would definitely recommend this.

Background:I have my games PC set up like a console in my living room, and am perfectly happy with this arrangement; however, it means my PC sits on the opposite side of the room from me when playing. Although I'm a big fan of my Steam controller, sometimes a keyboard and mouse are just indispensable, and headphones are vital for online coop play (Having no experience with them, I was hesitant about buying wireless solutions). This is therefore just one of 3 active repeater/extension cables I purchased (INSERT CABLES HERE) to extend my reach across the living room: - BlueRigger 10m USB 2.0: BlueRigger Active Extension / Repeater Cable A Male to A Female 10 Meters (1OM) USB 2.0 - CSL 5m USB 2.0: CSL - 5m (meters) USB 2.0 Repeater-/extension lead active with signal amplification - Signal Amplifier / Repeater | expandable | gold-plated contacts | black - CSL 5m USB 3.0: CSL - 5m (metres) USB 3.0 active repeater / extension cable with signal amplification - signal amplifier / repeater USB 3.0 (super speed) | black So far I have been very happy with these: as far as I can tell there is no drop in signal (at least, my gaming hasn't suffered from anything that can't be attributed to my poor gaming skills!) and as it's a temporary solution (I only have them out when I'm playing) cable clutter hasn't become a (potentially lethal) hazard in my room. If I had one complaint, the female connectors on the BlueRigger and CSL USB 2.0 cable are not as snug as the CSL USB 3.0 cable and it is easy for the USB device to become unplugged (hence the 4 out of 5 stars). This is not an issue with keyboard and mouse, but the longer BlueRigger is being used for my headphones - to allow me more freedom to move around - and has become an issue at times. Thus, if 5m is sufficient, I would strongly recommend the CSL USB 3.0 over the others. However, all cables work well. Note that, for the BlueRigger, I have also used it to connect both a PS4 DS4 controller and an Xbox One controller via a 3m USB to microUSB cable with no problems. (I didn't need a 13m extension cord, it's just convenient to use these cables!)

This is a quality cable. I attach an unpowered USB hub to it with a wireless keybnoard adapter and an Xbox One wireless controller adapter. Got the cable because I wanted to extend the PC from the study into the lounge, which is just far enough away for my wireless devices to cut out without some kind of extension lead. However - and this isn't a negative against the cable, it's just some things require more power than others - be careful about which USB port you plug the cable into. I initially plugged the cable into my PC case's USB ports (which are effectively a hub). It worked with a single device (wireless keyboard) but if I then plugged in the Xbox One adapter, neither device worked. It was a pretty simple solution - plug the cable into the back of the PC so it's using a port straight from the motherboard. These tend to have more power. Alternatively, if that's not an option, you could buy a powered USB hub. That way all of your devices power comes from there, taking power requirements out of the equation from the cable side of things. Either way, the cable works for exactly what I need it for and I haven't noticed any issues. If you do experience issues please try out what I said before returning or throwing away the cable!

Very reliable USB repeater that will boost and support all your devices which can reliably be daisy chained with 3x units to 15m (any more than 3x units causes intermitant problems with sensitive devices such as webcams). The cable is very well made compared to other makes and is backed up with a lifetime warranty. You can even use these repeater to boost the reliability of USB devices even whe coiled at a short distance. I especially recommend these repeaters for installers and can say with confidence that they are worth paying the little extra for.

As an inveterate fiddler and DIYer I've always tried to ensure that all the computer guff was hidden away in a cupboard with only a monitor and keyboard on show. Not only does that make for a cleaner desk it negates all noise. Unfortunately that also means USB can be a problem unless I want to go fiddling in a cupboard every time I want to plug in a camera or similar. So this time in my new house I needed an 8m USB cable to a USB3 port. I tried using bum basic extensions but frankly the distance was too great so I arrived at this cable. It's well made, fairly thick and does the job perfectly. I now have USB3 at my desk discretely done. Happy chappie again. So, if you need a 10m USB extention then look no further. This works a treat.

Acquistato X potermi allungarmi fino al portabagagli e commettere una dashcam in auto che originariamente era alimentata cn presa accendisigari. Ottima fattura, alimenta benissimo la telecamera.

Despues de casi 4 meses de haberlo comprado funciona perfectamente. Por un lado lo tengo conectado a mi PC, y por el otro a otro cable de 5m que lleva finalmente a un switch USB. En total 15m y me detecta todo lo que pinche...llaves usb, teclado sin hilos, raton, discos externos... El envio fue rapido y correcto.

Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit den USB repeaters hab 2 davon gekauft. Alle test wurden mit einem Laptop durchgeführt. Test 1 (1x10m USB Repeater) Mit einem USB repeater 10m kann man problemlos alle geräte verbinden sogar eine externe Festplatte 2,5 Zoll (Western Digital My Passport Elite 320GB) ohne extra stromversorgung. USB W-LAN sticks funktionieren ohne probleme der hauptgrund meiner bestellung. Test 2 (2x10m USB Repeater) Mit 2 USB repeaters 2x10m also 20 meter gab es probleme nuhr bei den high power geräte (das ist logisch bei 20m USB kabel an einem laptop). Alle low power geräte funktionieren bei 20m problemlos aber man muss zuerst den ersten USB Repeater anschliessen dann den zweiten USB Repeater und am ende das USB gerät. Test 3 (1x10m USB Repeater + 3m USB normales kabel ohne Repeater) Mit einem USB Repeater 10m und ein normales 3m USB kabel (theoretisch auch mit 5m) kann man wieder alle geräte problemlos anschliessen high power und low power und ohne irgendeine bestimmte reihenfolge.
