DEWALT 20V Max Drywall Screwgun, Tool Only (DCF630B)

Dewalt does it again! Great tool for installing drywall. Plenty of power with the 20V system, and the collated attachment makes for a great functioning system for fast instillation. I currently have 4 and 5 Ah battery packs that last as long as I do! This screw gun doesn't seem to draw from the batteries any worse than my other Dewalt tools, making it a great addition to my arsenal.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I do a lot of DIY drywall and wish I had bought this years ago. The gun holds the screws really well with magnet tip so you can drive 1 handed. This always sets the screw to perfect depth over and over. There is a slight learning curve but after one 4x8' sheet you will have the hang of it. I sure it was in the instructions but who reads those. TL;DR pull the trigger before you push the screw and spin up the driver before push. There is a clutch in the gun that helps drive the screw in as its not an impact tool. The impact sounds you may hear are the clutch slipping.

Works well but wont drive the screws deep enough if at an angle, like in corners. It will work well if its straight, and does drive the screws fast. A little pricey for someone who does ocasional drywall i would say in my opinion. Works well with any dewalt battery.

I’ve had two of these. Sometimes it works and then it doesn’t . One was less than thirty days so sent back. Other I didn’t use it right away and then when I did same problem! These have defective triggers. I didn’t install more than seven sheets between the two guns. Also this seller isn’t authorized so no warranty after the Amazon 30 day return policy. I won’t be buying any more. I’m out over $100….

It works well enough. I suppose you can just use a regular drill with the adjustment, ummm... adjusted to a lower setting, but this is the right tool for the job.
