I bought these to use dumbbells to do triceps extensions using my lat pulldown bar. I've strapped on up to a 40-lb dumbbell and it works great. Low cost addition to my home gym.

So far very versatile, I use them for iso metric work and kettles bell wrist curls only limited by my creativity good by. Strong build and quality also, for the price I’d buy these again at least another pair.

Genius works well

In my earlier version of this review the headline was "somewhat disappointing". Simply put, I was writing about a competitor's straps that were ordered later but came much sooner than these straps. I had assumed I was receiving them in the order they were ordered. Now many of my observations remain the same, as they are essentially an identical design, but a materials and construction decision make these considerable superior to my other set. The idea behind these straps is great, but with this set the execution is pretty good. The D rings are larger in diameter than my other set, and while I can't tell for sure (the plating covers the joint) they appear to be welded closed. However, the metal roller on the other side is identical in both sets. Under certain circumstance it can contact your bar (or handle) and can abrade the finish. I could not find the closure on this one--I assume it is inside the roller. There is a good pattern to the stitching on both sets (double box with internal cross) but on the competitor's set my stitching was a little loose, and for the most part was single stitched. On this FitGuy version, much of the stitching is double stitched, perhaps even triple stitched at the roller end. In both sets the webbing weave is less tight than I find in climbing gear. For moderate loads these should be plenty strong, and if the closures on the metal components are indeed welded, they should be able to handle very heavy loads just as well. While for the competitor's set I expected better construction for their price, I find in this FitGuy set that at least two of my concerns have been alleviated and therefore, I believe these are the better value for a price quite similar to the others. I accordance with the above observations, I have raised the rating to four stars.

I was apprehensive about the cost, but this is a really nice buy. You’ll be happy and the little details matter. I have been using the with a kettle bell and the two different lengths are a plus. The weight of the buckles and nylon are substantial enough that they stay in place when you unhook instead of flopping around. They’ll last forever - feels like you could use it to hook up a truck toe strap.

Great product. Work for what I needed it for. Great addition to my cable pulley system.

Everything about this is designed so well. Very simple mechanism for attaching dumbbell to carabiner for a cable. Mechanism keeps dumbbell from tipping. A bit pricey, but everything is super heavy duty (think material, thick rings, double stitching) and you get two with different lengths.
