Great product
After I hit knee to knee with the another guy while kickboxing, I decided to buy one of these to provide padding and protection for my workouts. I've used it over a month for kickboxing, Brazilian Ju Jitsu and circuit training. Although my knee still giving me issues, the padding works very well to dull impacts with the ground, knees or whatever else I end up bumping into. The pad is nice and thick, but it does not stick out too far and it doesn't hinder my workouts. I've had no issues with it sliding down my leg and the compression it offers is about that of a normal knee brace. My knee measured at 17" so I got the XL and the fit is just right. I will be ordering another one of these after I submit this review.

Great for wrestling
Pros:*Comfortable fit*Comes in blue*Tough almost (if not) everywhere*Cushioning is just right*Doesn't need frequent readjustmentCons:*Part behind knee seems to break at a faster rate if (or maybe just if) machine washed*Absorbs sweat like a sponge, so it especially should be washed after every use*Should (probably) be hand washed instead of machine washedWith these cons I'd still say it's a great knee pad. I'd suggest hand washing instead of machine washing after my experience with these. I've been using them since the beginning of this wrestling season and they're still doing me justice. I expect them to last quite a while longer, too. Highly recommended.

Quality construction, WAY too small
Got the largest size which said it would fit using their sizing chart, but wasn’t even close. I’m 6’2” 275lbs. I could definitely stand to lose a few pounds, but I’m not super fat, especially in my legs. The knee sleeve would fit up onto my knee, but I had to really hoist it up there and it immediately started cutting off circulation. Too bad, because other than the small size, it seemed like a quality product. I had one just like it when I wrestled in high school and it lasted for years and hundreds of hours of use between practice and matches. I even washed it once a week or so because they do start to smell like a locker room pretty quickly.

Works for BJJ
So after a long class of trips, throws, and sweeps, I had landed on my knees one too many times. My right knee got nicely swollen, and hurt too much to put weight on. Turns out I managed to give myself bursitis, and boy does it suck to have bursitis while trying to do BJJ.In order to keep training and prevent worsening my injury I bought this knee pad. I’ve been rolling with it for a few weeks, and it has done what I needed it to do. I stayed off my right knee as much as possible, which has started to give my left knee bursitis too. I have since ordered a second one. This is about as thick of a knee pad as you can get away with in BJJ and still be able to have the freedom of movement needed. It stays in place during rolling, and the gel pad is large enough to make sure I have some cushion all around my knee. Now, it does make it a little bit harder to slip my legs past people’s guard. I would not wear this in a competition. For training and open mat though, it works just fine. For comps I’m going to get some thicker knee sleeves.I have average quads and skinny calves. I bought a medium and after it broke in, it fits perfectly. If you have thicker legs buy the larger size, the smaller size will not fit you.

BJJ enthusiast - finally found the perfect remedy for my knee
I bought these kneepads after trying out the McDavid hex pads. I practice BJJ and after suffering a tibial bone bruise I often still have some difficulty depending on the work we are drilling. The hex pads worked well, however after a time the "hex" pattern breaks down and they don't offer much support. I was told about these pads on a BJJ forum online. The gel is a great balance between being firm enough to offer support and stay in place, and soft enough to provide some "give" when necessary. I've had no issue with the sleeve shifting or slipping, even when sweat becomes a factor. I wear these under a gi and I'm thrilled that on days my knee feels touchy, I can still train. I am 5'9" and 155 lbs with some extra skin on the body due to rapid weight loss, and so after trying out a medium (which fit, however were tight to a point of discomfort when squatting) I changed to a large and they fit perfectly. It's been noted that after repetitive wear the elasticity of the sleeve will give a little, however this hasn't caused a problem for me as of yet. I would highly recommend the super sleeve to anyone who wrestles or trains BJJ or judo.

Need to make a size XXL
The first time I bought this kneepad was nearly 5 years ago. I bought a size large and worked out pretty good....This time I bought a size XL and the sizing is the exact same! This was a bit disappointing because when I wore the kneepads I bought five years ago I wrestled at 125. I wrestle at 135/140 now so I needed to size up. I expected this kneepad to be bigger but now I have to stretch it out and fit into it. I'm not really understanding the sizes for this product. I'm not a big guy and an XL is not fitting comfortably. The good thing about this product is that it will last a good two-three years before the padding will diminish. The quality has improved

Overpriced
I've used these only a handful of times for technique and wrestling. Id say thy work well but they may be a bit overpriced for their function. They fit well I used the sizing guide.Slippage happened after agressive mat contact. Air holes kept them cooler but they are still very hot after wearing them for an hour same wth any other sleve. Padding is low profile and provide's decent impact protection. They will be big sponges for sweat, that will happen for any other sleve. I did get some rug bun on the skin of my knee cap whole wearing these from the sleeve ribbing against my skin.

These are not the Asics knee pads of days gone ...
These are not the Asics knee pads of days gone by... I guess they are making them more cheaply. The neoprene on the back of the knee pad is coming to pieces within just a few weeks of use.
