DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED
best cable i’ve ever tried, first cable which i can get 2k 240hz with HDR ON on my asus swift. 100% recommended. It’s cheap, the wrap quality it’s awesome, and the colors pretty accurate. The brightness in my opinion doesn’t change nothing and the connection is pretty easy and reliable. I have to mention that my main PC is a laptop, Asus rog strix g16. And i use this second monitor for gaming and work. I’ve seen these kind of adapters for DP to HDMI and they lower quality or refresh rate, and mostly dont support HDR. you gotta give it a try!!

MSI laptop to Samsung ultra wide
This works great, could barely believe it. I bought a Samsung G9, and was looking forward to hooking it up when I realized, HDMI does not have the bandwidth to support the monitor I was looking at a pixelated 100hz screen. It took hours of research to figure out that my MSI GS75 w/2080 had a {usb3/thunderbolt/ DISPLAY-PORT 1.4!} AIO which is what I needed. So I looked for cables and found this one, it is awesome! All the hrz and full 5x2k resolution, windows dectects it automatically! Since then I have upgraded all my PC cables to dp-cables. The cable/port is fragile only because it's coming out of a friggin small "usb3" port but the cable and connecters are solid. Feel sorry for the Mac owners who's only choice is this sort of cable, on that note during research i saw allot of "Mac" related cables that would have worked the same way, just because it says Mac on it doesn't mean it won't work main thing is DISPLAY-PORT version 1.4 or higher(i thing they have version 2 out now) and check what your Grafikcard supports eg a 980gtx only supports 1.2 and nivdia didn't bother to update their port version on the 40xx series leaving 8k res wanting. Is a shame. Moral of story is this is a great cable, is durable, and has all the options you need. Thanks

Very good
Works as advertised. I may be lucky-it has strict technical requirements in order to be compatible. Lenovo P52 had correct type C ports for both power and display. A used -older- monitor I wanted to add had display port input. Bought cable - had to google issue with one display on HDMI booting the other off and vice versa. Needed to recognize an additional thunderbolt port on laptop was available, though it appeared to be grouped with something else. Once I realized that might be my extra thunderbolt port, that solved the issue. (Power port could send display signal but was not compatible with the other extra monitor being used.) Another item I purchased - a docking station - may be useful but is not needed for now, as I originally thought.

Does the job, but thick
I use this for a 1440p 165hz monitor and it works flawlessly. I’m not sure if other cables are better, but this one is pretty thick and not too bendable. I also don’t like the design that much. Though this one is cheap, so it’s fine.

Mac pushing external 35 inch 2k monitor - old cable flickering - this cable zero issues!
Mac's are very picky with cables and I used a cable that came with the monitor which caused a lot of flicking. I did lots of research on new cables and bought this one and solved the problem with the old cable entirely. Highly recommend this - especially those with MacBooks.

The perfect cable for connecting a laptop to an external monitor with high refresh rate
I've been struggling with inconsistent frames and performance issues from my laptop when I bought a high-end gaming monitor with 240-280 Hz, 2k resolution.Since the monitor came only with an HDMI cable and dp to dp, out of necessity I had to use the HDMI cable and cap my framerate at lower 120hz and I couldn't even setup g-sync due to the cable being connected basically to the iGPU.ISSUE SOLVED thanks to this amazing cable. It perfectly supports high refresh rates at 2k resolution.Due to it being connected through type c, it takes now direct power from the dedicated GPU and you can easily adjust the frames/video synchronization with what capabilities your monitor has: G-Sync or FreeSync.Ho more screen tear and inconsistent frame rates. Was pleased to find out that the cable is very nicely protected from external factors with a high quality braid.Highly recommend it.

Works with Mac Studio M2 and Benq Monitor (Displayport Port)
FINALLY! Talked to Benq support and they told me I needed a HDMI cable to connect to the Mac Studio M2. I did that and the monitor kept blacking out every 5-10 minutes. You are in the middle of doing something and then you can't see anything. Then I tried a DisplayPort to HDMI cable and that permanently blacked out after 5 seconds and would not refresh the screen. So, I decided to try this cable DisplayPort to Thunderbolt and my issue was fixed. So, if you have a monitor with a Display Port (or Benq Monitor) to a Mac Studio M2 this is the cable you want.
