Good Sound for the Price and Very Portable!
The volume is decent for what you pay, and the sound clarity is surprisingly good. It’s lightweight, portable, and the overall quality is solid for a budget speaker. It looks fine on the desk, gets the job done, and it was easy to design a mounting clip for it. Great little speaker for simple setups.

Purpose built device does what it is supposed to.
If you know what these are for, then they can be the perfect product. They are not meant to be gaming audio or a full-featured solution for audio connoisseurs. This product is designed to be a self-contained, streamlined, and convenient way to get acceptable audio onto something that otherwise does not have it. This product is cheap. This product is tiny. Unrealistic expectations heaped on this is beyond absurd. I got this for a very specific setup. I run several virtual machines on my desktop computer for several reasons. One of these virtual machines is devoted to acting like a metronome and accompaniment for my guitar learning process. I wanted a separate audio circuit that could be eliminated in an emergency, independently controlled, required no difficult setup, and that was totally separate from my voice conferencing and other audio applications AND that was not too loud. This product was PERFECT for this. I needed sound I could hear that was "OK". That is EXACTLY what I got. I can hear my practice tones and practice along with midi files. The quality of sound is good enough to tell if I'm in tune or not. The volume is good enough for me to hear it but is not going to drown out my more important audio coming in. I needed to install NO DRIVERS in Linux or Windows -- both work with it just as easily. I bet other operating systems are just as comfy with it. So, for me, this is a PERFECT product. I am not you. We may need very different things. But, I was not looking for high-end or audiophile quality. I was not looking for this to act as my only audio system. I was not looking for anything very loud. KEEP IN MIND THE FOLLOWING: 1) Tiny speakers are physically incapable of producing bass tones. These speakers are tiny. If you expect these to be as good for audio fidelity as a conventional computer speaker, then please be informed that this expectation will not be met and is actually impossible. 2) There are no buttons or controls on this unit. This is by design and is an advantage in some situations. If you want something with a volume wheel or a button, look elsewhere. This was designed to eliminate clutter and excess. If you value other features or functions over how easy and simple this is, then look elsewhere. 3) These speakers depend on your operating system to have its USB system running properly. Without a properly running USB bus, they are dead in the water. Do not get these speakers if you are not perfectly sure that your computer's USB systems are running correctly.

Handy little speaker to avoid having to find my sound ports
I am older and my hearing isn't what it used to be. I like watching movies on my computer but miss half the dialogue when I listen through the built-in speaker on my monitor. I have headphones that work fine but it's a pain to plug and unplug them from the sound ports whenever I want to use them. So I wanted a small portable speaker that needed ONLY a USB connection for both power and sound that I could hear and understand dialogue on. I have been using this little speaker for over a month and fits the bill. It apparently has its own sound board because its only computer connection is through a USB port. (Most of the "USB speakers" get their power through USB but still need to be plugged into the sound port to play.) It's small enough that I balance it on the arm of my recliner while I'm watching movies and can aim the sound right at me, which is easier for me to understand. It probably would not suit a sound guru but if you aren't fussy about sound quality (like me), it is great. It does have stereo but obviously with 2 speakers crammed into such a tiny package, the stereo effect is minimal. And it's cheap enough that if it only lasts a few months, I can afford to get another one. Definitely recommended!

Basic, but not lacking
Bought one of those micro-computers in place of a laptop (ad a mobile gaming machine) and it has no built in sound device. Uses the USB power and gets quite loud for its size (maybe half of a Twinkie). I like the small size to pack it up and take with, so it still can act like a laptop for me. I bought a carry bag for my monitor and it all fits into the pockets with the wireless KBM.

I needed something simple and cheap to go with a Raspberry Pi and this gets the job done.
There's not a lot to be said for this. You don't buy this expecting to get audiophile sound quality and it certainly won't deliver that. In fact, the main reason I docked stars on the sound quality rating is because it has a very high noise floor and you pretty much hear a constant hiss from it at normal volumes. Other than this complaint it is cheap and it does get the job done at least. For some reason the review offers the option to rate volume control. Obviously it loses points there. There is no volume control. You have to manage the volume via software. This actually brings up a really good point. They could have had +/- buttons (maybe even a mute) on it that would send the standard keyboard volume control buttons to the computer. (This actually works with a surprisingly wide variety of devices with no user configuration or drivers needed.) It's actually too bad they didn't think to implement something that simple actually.

excelent quality and performance. good price
We keep telling our daughters to lower the volume. she plays roblox and minecrfat, and watches youtube of people playing roblox and minecraft. audio quality is better than expected for the price and size. volume is way better than expected for the size.

Great Idea if you have low expectations for no low frequencies
Great Idea if you have low expectations. Literally sounds like a tin can. The reviews must be from people who have never used a decent pair of headphones or regular pc speakers before. I have had a $20 set of powered speakers for a long time, and stupidly thought to myself that I could replace those with this and clear the clutter from my desk. Boy was I wrong. Pros: Looks decent, solid plastic feel to it, Very small and would have been great if it did it's real job (i.e. Sound) well Cons: Sounds horrible. It sounds like a tin can. There is literally no bass frequency and the sounds lacks clarity. I can tell it is more likely due to lack of power, but they could have spent a few more dimes and added a mini bass device in this. I really wanted this to work for me, but I'll have to keep looking

Big improvement for a occasional use laptop for YouTube audio. Lets be real - for speaker this size the sound is not great, but it is an improvement over the built in speakers on a Toshiba Protege laptop. Speaker with the addition of FxSound app equalizer (free app) windows 10 to help tweak sound to your liking. Volume control via windows mechanisms is ok.

The sound quality is very bad. Laptop speaker is louder than this.
