UPDATED REVIEW PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING.
I placed the order for the mallets without any previous reviews in Amazon. The package arrived to the post office and required a signature for delivery. This is hard for me because I work during business hours so I had to go over the weekend. They arrived undamaged in an amazing packaged. They were well packed in cardboard, then a cloth like a Tee Shirt material was sewed over the box. The address was written on the cloth with a marker. The length of the mallet was spot on. My initial impression was that the shaft had a slightly greater diameter than the mallets I bought from Tato's. However, I was comparing flexibility and it was about the same. The mallet head is of a slightly darker wood. I asked for hunter green color mallet. I initially thought they sent me two black mallets, then I realized that the hunter green on the darker wood looked dark, almost black. I bought 2 mallets with one I played 4 chuckers yesterday and the mallet performed well. Mallets do not last long in the hands of an experienced Polo player finding a reliable source at a reasonable price is key. I will post again if the mallet fails in an unusual way. Unfortunately if the sport of Polo kills me I will be unable to post anything.***UPDATED POST***The polo season started. I did not use the second mallet until I had a few days of playing under my belt. With the second mallet I played two chuckers and during the second chucker I hit the ball and heard a loud crack. See Photos. The impact of the grass ball on the mallet in the normal way caused the mallet head to split. I did not run over the mallet with my trailer, the horse did not step on the mallet, I was playing a normal chucker and the mallet head broke when it hit the ball. My thought that this was a flawed mallet. I took photos and sent the seller a message through amazon. They contacted me through Amazon which took a little time and they are sending me a replacement mallet. I ordered two mallets in my initial order. Only one mallet broke the first day I used it and they are sending me a replacement. The first mallet still works fine. I played 3 hours yesterday and the mallet still looks good. I think there was a flaw in the wooden head of the mallet that broke. When I get my replacement I will probably order a few more.
