Highly recommend for coarse, kinky, hard to manage ethnic natural roots hair. Light, non greasy but very moisturizing product.I was always told that a man's scent should not arrive before he does. The scent is inviting without being overwhelming. Soft but makes a statement when you walk by (so I've been told). Leaves a lasting sheen and softness to your beard. I've recommended this product to my family, most of whom have long straight West Indian hair. They've purchased the entire kit!No matter your texture of hair, you will not be disappointed. Excellent product. I use it in tandem with shea moisture beard oil. I personally like the smell, it not over powering at all, and doesn't last long where its constantly in your nose but I can understand some may want something unscented. My beard is coarse, curly and constantly gets knotted while sleeping, without this product running a comb thru is painful. I use this every morning as part of my routine.

I've been buying this brand for a while so no secret that this is good stuff. I started buying this at at the local stare a while ago but know most stores can't keep it on the shelves. I have a thick beard so most brands leave my beard dry after about an hour of whear. This brand keeps my beard moisturized for about 4-6 hrs. It's thicker than other brands so it leaves your hair a little oily but that's better than a dry beard that keeps breaking off. I use it after I shower at night and when I wake up in the morning. Again, good stuff! I'll skip the hassle of driving to 2-3 stores from now on and order hear.

First I love the product, I like the smell which isn't strong. It really helps keep my long course beard from curling up on itself. I've wanted to warm the product up for a while now, thinking it would work in better/faster than at the around 65° it is sitting on the bathroom sink. My wife was taking a bath and I tossed the tube into the tub with her and told her to shout out when she was going to drain the tub. A few minutes later there was some shouting, mostly because of the green pieces that were floating around in the tub and all over her. After the wife got done showering the flakes off herself and the tub, she tossed me the tube and told me never to do that again. I wish they would make this differently so I could warm it this way. I guess I will try the microwave for 10, 15 seconds and see how that goes, next time. Anyway, good product not waterproof tube though.

I bought this because my partners beard was dry, rough and he complained of itchiness. He has easily clogged pores so I was doing a lot of research on products to make sure I didn’t get him something too greasy or just didn’t work. (I’m an esthetician)He’s a rough manly man and when he tried it for the first time it was like a woman who found the best lipstick that didn’t smudge or crack.He went on and on about how good it smelled and how the beard wash from the same line made it feel so clean yet so moisturized and the detangler was the cherry on top and made it super soft and smelled amazing. He likes to rub his beard on me now because he loves it so much! Lol. That was the first time he used it and kept loving it to the point he actually added it to his shower and daily up-keep routine.After about a week or so of use I asked him how his skin was with the use of this and he has no clogged pores or stripping of the skin. I bought this to find a cheaper alternative for the more expensive beard care products I've been using but quickly learned that you get what you pay for. I'm not saying the product is bad, which is why I gave it a four, but I would continue exploring other products before settling on this.Updated: Forget everything I said above. Those are the words of someone with less experience with a beard. I wasn't using the appropriate amount for the length of my beard. Having such coarse kinky hair, I sometimes forget just how long my hair really is. My suggestion is experiment with amount until you find that sweet spot. This along with all the other Shea Moisture beard care products are excellent.

This is the best beard detangler/conditioner on the market. It smells great (my girl likes the smell) and the tube lasts a long time. All you need is a little squirt to moisturize a medium length beard. Also, I have sensitive skin and it dosen’t irritate my face or anything. I have curly hair and after a bit of this jazz, the comb slides right thru. Highly recommend.

This product applies easily and smells amazing. I've been using it for a couple months, and my wife still notices the scent and comments on how much she likes it. I like that the product does not make my beard look shiny like other products (oils and balms). It is NOT a styling cream. It does not hold down the flyaways. It simply conditions the beard and makes it easy to comb.
