There was a constant screeching noise coming from the product as soon as I plugged it in and it seems to overheat quickly. I plugged it into my mac for approximately 5 minutes to back up both my iPhones and my iPad. When it was done I immediately unplugged it, because of the screeching noise, and it was extremely hot. HDMI also doesn't work.It does look nice on the mac and it seems to do what it says. If not for the screeching noise and the overheating I'd keep the product, but for now I'd rather go with something else.UPDATE:I guess i got sent a lemon when i first bought the product, but i liked the way it looked on my mac so i gave it another try. No screech and no instant overheating. However, it does get a little warm after a while, but no biggie. Everything works fine and i am satisfied with the product. Glad i gave it another try.

It fits and does everything that is promised. I love that I can charge, have two USB's in and have my SD card in at once. My one complaint is that sometimes it's a little fickle and become disconnected with small movements, but not a super common occurance. Just every now and then. Other than that, I love it!

Works great for what it is. Stylish looking on my Macbook. I wish it would drive dual external monitors, but that's not what I bought. It drives 1 monitor just great. Solidly built.

2nd one I’ve bought. Connections get loose. Basically, once it’s plugged in, any movement disconnects the connection. Buy a wired version! Don’t let the clean look fool you. Not worth the large expense.

Did not fit properly with a shell protector on the laptop.

First of all it's not possible to connect it with the Mac case on. Plus I used it about 3 times and now it doesn't work anymore. I will return it.

This product didn't work at all.Changing the rating from one to three for the following reasons:- The seller did a nice job in replacing the non-functional unit with a working one.- The new unit was working fine but the only problem was that it was draining a lot of battery even when there are no peripherals attached.

This great, the only thing you should be aware of, is if you are thinking on getting a case for your laptop, you have to find a case that fits also the multi port. We haven't , so we got a regular case and cut a piece, to get the space for the multi port to fit.

Actually, I think I'm going to return this adapter because the quality is poor. It looks good but connecting it to the MAC and connecting the wires into it, pulling them back out is horrendous as they stick and you feel like you're going to damage something. For the price, I'm very disappointed and this is likely going back.
