Native Instruments Traktor Kontrol X1 MK2 DJ Controller

I have been a Traktor user for over 8yrs and this product is an upgrade from my X1 MK1 that has been used every weekend for over 6yrs. The X1 mk2 is the finishing touch to my set up, I no longer have to touch the laptop to search through folders and the simplified layout is perfect with hotcues ready to use and visible loop size.I can't recommend this product enough for users of Traktor with an old X1.Perfect for beginners as the functions just work on 'plug and play' with Traktor pro.

I purchased this X1 and also the Z1 then after naturally upgrading to Traktor Pro you're only allowed some LE version which only allows you to use one effect of only three available i.e. Flanger or Chorus or Reverb, that's it. Zip. Nothing. Nada. Rien. Merci.This effect routes through FX1 and so buttons labelled as FX Mode, FX2, FX3 are redundant completely and always So why even bother ? Afterall I could have stuck with a mouse ONLY. Not really impressed, paid for an X1 that you cant use 30% of, a Z1 with one of the worst noise floor's I have heard since my first walkman and the sockets on all are aituated quite fragile on their circuit boards, to be honest, inspiring zero confidence unplugging and replugging them in more than five or six times usimg decent connectors without needing circuit surgery and the software that won't allow you to go full PRO unless, I guess, you buy a £900 literally empty box of very dubious build quality....what happened to the famous German build quality ?Disappointed overall due to completely redundant switches and controllers and also by lacking effects (just 1 of 3, tears) and also naturally then buying Pro version software for Native to only allow some sort of LE lite version nor can you install or add in and fill up these effects in any way and also disabling the ability to record your own mixes and so you can't do a tape for your walkman or car and check your mix or say do a friends birthday mix tape and so really relatively absolutely completely totally pointless (sorry) and get you might as well Mixx instead (you can record yourself and have more than one, or dare I say two even, decent effects and with good sound but just slightly less jazzy graphics.) and so now dont' want to bother with Native hardware at all unless as I don't see the point paying £899 for, largely, an empty box of potentially very dubious build quality - here and the Z1 are dubious - when all you should stick with is a mouse and it's free version as that offers the very same nor do you have slabs of unnecessary unsightly black plastic hanging around becomimg a dusting brainwave. Sorry, that's speaking from a long time playing real Technics and looking at overall the cost to a young person plus headphones amp speakers and music cost then this is pointless I am very sad and kind of shocked too - German build ? Nein ! es ist weg - to say as I had really hoped for more.

my husband became native instruments addicted after he used this. he is into dj-ing for fun at home and friends and he says the whole range F1, X1 & Z1 are excellent

From first look product looks in excellent condition but the right rotary knob doesn’t work at all :/

Awesome product, for a great price, the Kontrol X1 is an amazing controller and gives me so much more functionality than my Z1, both together work perfectly.

Amazing controller for traktor. Very intuitive and easy to set up

i brought 2 of these as presents last christmas the one controller has temperamental controlls down the one side but by the time my partner opended it to use it it was too late to send back
