What fun for all ages, a great way to get children to start enjoying drawing games
I bought this game to take on holiday with us as it looked like the type of game we could all play – and I was right! Nice compact box made it perfect for travelling too. The basis of the game is to draw an image from one of the cards and the other players have to guess what it is all the while chicken timer is ‘clucking’ down. It is ideal for helping younger children develop their drawing skills and for the older children and adults there are more difficult items to draw, so it is still fun. The added challenge is to beat the chicken timer and win as many points as possible! The pre-printed pads with circles on really help, the rules are simple and there was virtually no set up. A big thumbs up! What fun we had. My children kept asking if they could play again always a good sign. ---------------------------------------------------

Clever game for the whole family.
I was expecting a smaller game, and it could have fit in a smaller box! But this game really is a good game for the family. My 4, 7 and 8yr olds can all play. There is a chicken timer which we didn't like, it has a muffled sound but is too noisy (an odd problem!) but I got the gist of the timer as giving a different score every ten seconds as it counts down from a minute. One player has a minute to draw either just the easy option which has a picture to copy or roll the dice and see which of the three coloured choices on the card they get. When another player guesses the correct answer they both get points according to how quickly they guessed the answer from 6 points descending to 1 after a minute. It's a good scoring system as the drawer gets points for drawing but everyone is playing on their own so all engaged in the game for the whole time. The paper you play with has circles on to get you started and all the words to draw an be drawn around the four different circle designs. It's very clever and well thought out.

A great family game that brought lots of laughs in our house!
It's a Chicken is really is a great family game that brought lots of laughs in our house! The rules are simple, the pre-printed cards have three objects to draw on each of them in colour sections, the top option is drawn so younger players can copy it, the other two are just words. You then throw the dice to see which item you have to draw. The game also comes with drawing pads ingeniously pre-printed with either one, two or four circles – every item can be drawn starting from a circle which gives younger players a starting point. The competitive part comes from the amusing chicken timer that clucks down from five points so the race is on to guess the object before the timer runs down. Both the player that guesses and the player drawing get the points.

Fun family game
Fun family game.....Addition of picture clue cards is a good idea to allow younger children who cannot read word clues yet to join in. Pads with predrawn circles also great for younger kids....Only downside is there aren't as many clue cards as would like and we are going through the drawing pads pretty quickly too! On the whole would recommend especially for younger kids.

Great idea
Loved this game, ideal for my 5 year old to play along with independently. Unfortunately the chicken timer didn't last 10 minutes and had to return the game to Amazon.

Fun for kids and grown ups too!!
Although it's a kids game, it's great fun for grown-ups too! It's hilarious when it's so obvious to you what you're drawing but others are trying really hard to guess - and often getting it wrong! The chicken timer is a fun idea and the element of the countdown really does get the competitive juices flowing. A classic drawing game which children can play easily (especially as there's a picture for younger kids to copy, rather than a word) but it's great for all the family to enjoy too!
