This valve is exactly as it is described, does exactly what it claims to do, is good quality and is compact as a bonus.These water flow control valves are the way to go for water conservation in your showers and I am thoroughly impressed with this one. I installed this model behind my shower head, so I can pause the water completely if needed without changing the water settings at my hot/cold handles. This control valve is easy to operate - it opens and closes smoothly and easily every time, and when I shut it off the water stops 100% hands down, every time. Installation was absolutely easy and straightforward. This solid metal valve can also be used to throttle your water pressure up and down as needed, and to take Navy showers to conserve precious clean water. I was so impressed with the valve so I bought a second one for my second bathroom shower, and the new valve operates exactly like the first, I like being able to close it while I shampoo my hair and it works perfect for that.… Perfectly. Highly recommend.

It is now installed and works as promised. When I turn it to off the showerhead in my shower drips not, until I turn it back on. Or you can just slow the water to more a trickle if you want to keep the hot water flowing so things won't be too cold when you turn the flow back up to full. Heavy metal and solid. Five stars.

This is for the half-moon handle chrome version (chrome-1) so I can't speak to all the others in this listing, but this works as expected. My father-in-law needed the ability to turn off the spray head without having to reach up to the knob. I was a bit worried if this would fit his German made shower wand, but luckily it does and appears to seal just fine. It also installs backwards for that application compared to installing on a wall mounted head, but in this case also appears to not have a problem.

This control valve is mostly solid brass and fits the threads on my vintage shower head super nicely. I wish it had greater range of flow control - I would like a bit more output on the open end. It does completely cut the water off when desired, but I wish the open end allowed a bit more flow. That said, it does the job it is intended to do very well and seems quite well made.

I installed this and a check valve on our RV shower. The check valve went on the hot water line and this part replaced the on/off switch on our shower head which prevented the cold water from pushing the hot water out of the shower head and hose. Now we can leave the hot and cold water on without being doused in cold water when you open the shower head back up.

I wanted to be able to keep shower water at same temp while stopping the flow for short times. I had purchased a similar item at big box store, but it had a small plastic knob that required turning. I have bad arthritis in my hands and the knob is extremely difficult for me to turn. Then bought this on Amazon because the on-off feature is a slide instread of twist. This slide is easy to move and stops water flow without any dripping, and opens water flow again easily. It is perfect for me. BTW, I installed it myself and it was fast and easy. (I am in my late 70's and that is not always the case.)

Easy to operate and regulates the water flow well. Just what I needed.
